Hanoi Golden Hotel Reviews

So we enjoyed ourselves so much at this hotel we ended up staying here 3 separate times while doing Ha Giang Loop and ha long bay. The staff checked us in at 3am one night and even helped us forward in some mail. They are happy to hold bags and help with any need. The beds are comfy, showers warm, good AC and wifi. Definitely stay here while you're in Hanoi!

It's a little bit hard to find but with the help of a nice local person I was able to get there without any major problems. The room was definetely matching my expectations, the only thing I would have loved to see is providing a bottle of shampoo and not just a small one time use size one. Furthermore, the staff was very friendly and helped me out a lot, thank you very much!

All beddings were dirty. Bedsheet, pillow cover etc had hair on them. There was no elevator to the room on 6th floor. Had to go up 1 floor on a very narrow spiral staircase and it was very annoying to get the luggage up and down.

I think that it is a good location for those who are sightseeing in Hanoi. However, it is not easy to find when checking in as the hotel is not on the street, but is reached through a narrow road between houses that is not on Google. I had a hard time finding a Vietnamese friend, so even if I ask a taxi driver, they might not know. If you ask someone close to you, you might be able to find out. Well, everyone was kind and there were children. The cleanliness is not as good as Japanese hotels or luxury hotels, but it was enough for people who are not fastidious. As for insects, I saw only a few small insects at the hotel, probably because I went there in February. As for services, you can apply for a tour, get paid out in cash from your card (maybe you should avoid it), have Wi-Fi, all the staff are smiling, and recommended Vietnamese restaurants and Vietnam at check-in. I got a paper with notes (taxi that can be taken, fake currency, etc.), and it was overall conscientious. There were times when I was asked to change rooms because I was guided to the wrong room, and when I extended my stay, I was told to move to a sister hotel on the morning of the day, so that's all there is to it. be careful. There was no problem with amenities such as toothbrush, shampoo and soap. When I moved rooms, the staff gave me extras with a smile even though I didn't ask for it. Soap doesn't lather well.
