Ground floor room with a beautiful view of pastures and hills - however this will soon be gone as Red Barn housing estate to be built opposite the hotel. Spacious room with comfy, clean beds and two comfy chairs to sit and enjoy the view. However it felt like the room hadn't been used for a while, we had to air it to get rid of the musty smell. The bathroom also had a peculiar odour from the central floor drain. We had to scrub the bath before use and remove various insects from the walls and ceiling as well as a spider's nest above the shower. Generally needed better cleaning. Towels were also stained. Good value for the price paid just needs some TLC.

Actually it was very pleasant, very clean. Tea & coffee making facilities, no slippers. Clean bathroom & towels . The Philippino gentleman on the Reception was very pleasant, polite and helpful. It’s on the edge of town but you can easily walk into the Centre to the shops, cafes, restaurants & hot pools so it’s no problem. It was super quiet too. No complaints and they even leave you a cookie with the tea’s & coffees. Easy parking also.

Nice place to stay. Lack of staff hinders the giving of a top score. What staff were there were very pleasant ! Reception shut at 6. Check in available till 10 pm.not a good look. No cooked breakfast available. Saw several leave breakfast area in restaurant because of this. (Would have been nice) . Reception shut on sunday....no staff.

Amazing staff was very friendly and helpful
Hotel is close to town and hot springs but also far enough away it’s separated from all the camper vans and tourists - best of both worlds

Absolutely recommend the spa tub room in the front.

When we arrived there was no one in reception except a note saying they would be 5 minutes. This turned into slightly longer, however when the manager arrived he was full of apologies and explained the delay. Extremely sorry and compensated us accordingly. Would be more than happy to recommend this accommodation

The location is a little outside of the town however it’s only a short walk away. The rooms are spotless and there was tea/ coffee etc. Heater in the bathroom too and heated radiator. Strong shower pressure. No conditioner for hair but body wash, shampoo and body lotion. So overall I felt the room was good and within expectations.
Breakfast was horrendous. We paid extra for it and to be honest it’s not worth any fee. The cheapest of processed ham, a bowl of salad, brown pieces of apple, sugary odd cake, cereal and filtered coffee. We travel a lot and I’ve never seen a breakfast like it. I complained and they said they only serve western continental breakfast. This was rubbish cheap thrown together breakfast. No croissants or barrista coffee, no boiled eggs, no decent cut meats. Go to the town for breakfast… we got a lovely breakfast muffin with egg, bacon etc and a fresh cappuccino for $9.99 in the Log Cabin.

It’s a really nice and quiet place. The service was great as well. What we love the most was the view outside the retreat! We had a great stay!
