Great customer service attitude from the front desk and house keeping staff. Special mention to Miss 袁巧花 of the house keeping team for being proactive in assisting our needs. That is why I took a picture of her name tag so I can mention her here in this review Location: Great 👍! Walking distance to shopping malls, pedestrian shopping streets, and the west lake. 7/11, restaurants beside the hotel. Buffet breakfast included, well worth it at 59yuan because of the numerous selections. Also had buffet seafood dinner that has unlimited famous hairy crab, a wide selection of food at 150 yuan only, shockingly cheap. Enjoyed taking videos of the robot delivering our food ordered from outside the hotel also picture attached

I had the pleasure of staying at the Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Hangzhou recently, and my experience exceeded all expectations. Situated just a few minutes' walk from the famous West Lake, it is incredibly convenient for those wanting to explore one of China’s most scenic attractions. The proximity to West Lake makes it easy to take early morning or evening walks along the picturesque waterfront, which I found very calming. Additionally, the hotel is close to several popular shopping streets, including Hubin Road, where you can find both luxury brands and local shops. There are also plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby, giving guests many dining options beyond the hotel itself. 2. Warm and Efficient Check-in Process From the moment I entered the hotel, I was greeted warmly by the staff. The lobby is spacious, elegant, and well-lit, giving off a luxurious yet comfortable vibe. Check-in was smooth and quick, with the front desk staff offering a welcome drink upon arrival. I appreciated their professionalism—they spoke fluent English and were well-prepared to answer all my questions about nearby attractions and transportation options. One thing that stood out was their attentiveness; they noticed I had traveled a long way and offered to expedite my check-in, which was a thoughtful touch. 3. Spacious and Well-Appointed Rooms The room I stayed in was a deluxe double with a partial view of West Lake. It was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had all the modern amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with plush pillows and high-quality linens that made it hard to get up in the morning! The room also had a large flat-screen TV, a work desk, and a cozy seating area by the window. The view from my room, although not directly facing the lake, still offered a lovely glimpse of the surrounding cityscape and greenery. One feature I particularly appreciated was the bathroom, which was clean, modern, and well-equipped with both a bathtub and a rainfall shower. The hotel provided premium toiletries and fluffy towels, which added a touch of luxury to the experience. The housekeeping service was impeccable—my room was always spotless, and they replenished water bottles and amenities daily without me needing to ask. 4. Dining – A Great Variety of Options The dining experience at the Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Hangzhou was truly impressive. The hotel’s main restaurant offers a large breakfast buffet that caters to both Western and Chinese tastes. I enjoyed starting my day with a wide selection of fresh fruits, pastries, eggs, and Chinese dim sum. They also had made-to-order noodle and omelet stations, which was a great touch. The food quality was excellent, and the service during breakfast was attentive, with staff regularly refilling coffee and tea without being asked. In addition to the breakfast buffet, the hotel offers several dining options throughout the day. I dined at their Chinese restaurant one evening, which specializes in Hangzhou cuisine. The dishes were authentic and flavorful—definitely a highlight of my trip. I recommend trying the local specialty, Dongpo Pork, which was cooked to perfection. Room service was also available 24/7, and I tried it once when I returned late from sightseeing. The food was delivered promptly, and the quality was on par with the restaurant meals.

we stayed in a twin room again before going back to Shenzhen. we came back from 4days stay in Huangshan. i left my big luggage in the reception. and the staff was so cheerful and talked about our trip in Huangshan. so she gave us room 1018 which is just right next to the Venice Restaurant. i have no regret staying in this hotel. except for the noise in the 7am! i was still sleepy by 7am as i stayed late getting anxious about the Jeju air mishap. as our flight will br on dec30 night. so i worried a lot then when im in my good sleep, i was awaken by the hammering and drilling noise on the other side of the wall.. so this incident ruined my rest. i was quite dizzy in the morning due to lack of sleep but i just managed to drink coffee to stay awake for the rest of the day.

This hotel location is great, once i enter the hotel the warmest welcome had greeted. Room nicely makeup and very variety of breakfast. Opposite is Westlake located with just cross the under tunnel. Surrounding of westlake having alot of restaurant. We took a ride with RMB 40 per person of 1 round service in small mini truck for a tour in westlake..from here we can save time of walking. Good trip in Hangzhou.

Location is very nice, less than 5 minutes walk to wulin night market and 15 minutes drive to west lake. Very close to the city centre as well. Room was great and nice amenities. Check in staff was great too. Had a small issue in the room and it was rectified very quick, thanks to the afternoon Duty Manager, sorry didn’t get her name. the service level is really amazing. Would love to revisit next time

Classic, very nostalgic. we had very warm stay there. Old school still ageless and priceless. Location is unbearable, walk out… there u go, the beautiful lake, 西湖. Above all, the breakfast buffet was simply wonderful. We were craving for western breakfast after so many local dishes. We enjoyed it so much, had it in al fresco way, with breezy chilly open air. Soft sun shining down on us and the foods. Still vivid the memory even after so long coming home. The only suggestion is to improve the afternoon tea. Must get to the same par with the breakfast.

We have been guests of Huachen for many years now- with a short break caused by Coronavirus. We love: its location - a walk from the Lake and the transport connections After recent modernization. It resulted in cleaner bathroom , water properly hot, towels new. In most rooms- Curtains- need refreshing.By mistake we booked a ‚ family with small child rooms- the decor leaves room for improvement. Beds comfortable. Single rooms are airier and the curtains less…tired. Breakfast is well varied , and affordable. Despite a slightly outdated decor- it is our top choice for location and quick and kind service offered at Huachen. In the lobby - a tiny office offering local tours and shows which we had enjoyed with our previous stays.

A really impressive facility with stunning views, central location, excellent bell service and many more! The rooms are super spacious and comfortable with a nice round chair to watch tv a large desk to work comfortably and a nice bathroom. Strongly recommended for business or travel.

i have been to the hot springs three times before but I had never stayed at the hotel. This was my first time. I imagine the receptionist felt a little nervous when faced with two foreigners and maybe she felt shy. However, I found her lack of greeting, not a 你好 or 下午好， a little cold. When she did communicate with us, it was in super fast Mandarin to which I requested 请慢慢说 to no avail. She repeated just as fast twice more. I felt frustrated and then resorted to using a translation app. She called over an English-speaking Indonesian staff member. I don’t have the expectation that people will speak English to me, but I do appreciate slowing down in Mandarin and using simpler language. Hand gestures help a lot also. I wish she had told us the WiFi password, and where to access the hot springs. These are two key pieces of information a receptionist should provide when you check into a hot springs hotel. Our room had plastic flip flops to be worn to the hot springs. My pair had two left feet. When I showed the staff member on the second floor, she was helpful and got me a new pair. The hot springs were lovely, as usual. The buffet breakfast was better than the buffet dinner. The layout of the hotel leaves you walking from building to building. At first it’s confusing, but then it becomes okay.

The service was great, the staff were nice and really did their best to assist. I would like to especially mention Yuan (not sure about the spelling) who attended to us when we arrived on our first night. she assisted with my questions even if we had to use a translator. I had so many problems at one time as it was our first night and she tried to patiently give me a solution or an answer. We got lost going to the hotel as we came by metro and the maps were not accurate enough to find it easily. We asked three people and the last one finally called the hotel to ask where it was. When we reaches the hotel, the one on duty was already waiting for us at the door. Just when we thought the tea time was over, as we were tired and hungry after all that searching, that’s when she brought a new batch of creme brulee and nicely designed yoghurt. I kid you not, that’s the best tasting yoghurt for me ever (I’ve tasted so many all these years from many different countries and brands). The breakfast had enough variety and good quality food. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
