It was overall an alright stay, don’t expect Japanese standards. Apparently they had a soft opening period and just opened on April 15. You can see that things aren’t running so smoothly yet, trip.com shows that spa needs to be booked a day in advance, but on WeChat they said no reservations required and we can use anytime. The second day we wanted to use the spa our second time, and was told by a staff we couldn’t use it again, which we were confused about. Later other staff said we could. The spa itself had spectacular views, but the outdoor pool weirdly had half eaten and rotten apples floating around. After talking to the spa staff they said it was for aesthetic purposes and guests must have eaten them without knowing that. Worrying hygiene standards 😨 apart from that overall hygiene seems to be alright. All rooms have our own private courtyard so there are two doors, the main wooden door and then the glass door to our actual room. The main wooden door broke down twice - we couldn’t lock it (more like they didn’t fix the problem fully the first time), which wasted our time as we had to sit around to watch the maintenance staff fixing our door. Breakfast was okay but half the dishes were way too salty for my taste. Weird mix of “Western”, “Japanese” and Chinese dishes. Cheaper to buy on the spot (168 yuan as of today). Service was not up to the standard of a hotel of this price point. The staff welcoming us seems like she was reading from a script, we couldn’t hear half the time even after asking her to enunciate clearer twice. Felt like they were here to monitor us more than take care of us. Instead of “how may I help you?”, they actually responded “what’s wrong?” on two separate occasions. I don’t think this is acceptable! Some staff also do not greet guests properly.

Overall, this hotel succeeds in looking like a traditional Japanese ryokkan, but unfortunately doesn't feel like one due to many important features missing. If you've stayed at a ryokkan in Japan, this one misses the mark, but potentially is not a problem as it is catered towards Chinese people. As a foreigner accustomed to Japanese standards, you might be disappointed. It's very clean and modern, with a "private" bath that looks like a traditional private onsen bath. The dinner was average, with the yakitori being the highlight. Breakfast was Chinese food, which took away from the immersion. As far as experience goes, the main problems here were the details that broke from the immersiveness of being at a traditional ryokkan. These include a lack of privacy, inexperienced staff, out of theme food options, and other details such as not using true hot spring water and the bath being only partly Hinoki wood. The privacy concern is because if you have the courtyard room, you have a "private" courtyard and bath, but in the morning a worker was outside in the courtyard with full view of my bath. This felt very uncomfortable and I no longer felt relaxed or at peace, and needed to close all the blinds which ruined the point of having an open courtyard. It was worth a try, and definitely a beautiful space. But I couldn't help but feel disappointed as the important details were missed in this recreation of a ryokkan.

One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in China. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Hot springs are amazing. The territory is clean and beautiful. Rooms are fresh, clean, and comfortable. The location is remote from the main road which makes this place perfect for quiet and relaxing holiday. Seriously, we’re amazed, by this place 😍

The decoration is very beautiful and comfortable, and almost every part of the hotel has landscaping The hot spring is very comfortable, and there is no limit on the number of times you can enter and exit if you stay The public rest area of the hot spring provides free drinks, snacks, ice cream, and fresh-cut fruits (tell the service desk what fruits you want and they will cut them for you). The night we went there, someone played the piano live until 8 pm When checking in, we were upgraded to a courtyard room. It was a very beautiful courtyard, and the private hot spring in the guest room was separated into a small courtyard. It was very comfortable to lie on the sofa in the courtyard and blow the wind in this season You can make sachets in the lobby (choose your own spices and put them in), and write wish wooden signs There is a bonfire and lotus activity at night, which is quite interesting. If you are willing to take pictures, it is very good The breakfast set has nine fixed side dishes. In addition, you can choose the staple food and drinks yourself, including porridge, steamed buns, wontons, noodles, dumplings, pastries, etc., which can be continued The unsatisfactory part is that when I just checked in in the afternoon, there was a smell of wood or something else in the room, which smelled uncomfortable. Later, I turned on the fresh air and air conditioning until the evening and it was much better after taking a bath.

The experience is excellent, both the room and the food are very well done. The hot springs♨️ and spa are no worse than the five-star ones in Kyoto. As expected, it was designed by the chief designer of Tokyo Aman Group. It is exquisite in every way and looks like Kyoto and Hakone hot spring hotels. It is full of details. I will recommend it to my friends and look forward to staying there next time!

The environment is very good. The service attitude is also good. I feel at home. It can be seen that the hotel is very attentive. Because it was my birthday, they also helped me upgrade the room type and decorate the room. The SPA is quite professional. The Chunmi Canteen for dinner tasted good, but it was not as expected. The hot springs were quite comfortable and you can soak naked. The only drawback is that the public area is a bit small. It takes two minutes to walk to the end.

The tatami room we stayed in was very good. It was located on the second floor with a good view and plenty of light. The logs used in the room had a light fragrance. Each room had an independent hot spring bath, and the room facilities were of high quality, with washlets, Dyson, and Marshall speakers. The hotel hired a famous designer to design it. From the courtyard to the hot spring bath, it was a typical Japanese style, very exquisite. The service was also very good, and any questions in the WeChat group were responded to immediately. The spa is worth a try, and a female masseuse named He was very good.

I didn't expect that there is such a fun hotel in Hangzhou, which is very suitable for everyone's weekend vacation. The most amazing thing is the hotel's meals. Breakfast and dinner are very delicious. The taste is the taste of Hangzhou when I was a child, but it is very delicate. There are no slippers in the changing area of the big bath, which feels unhygienic. Bare feet will step on other people's fallen hair
