2.Amenities: POOR (Basement floor in dark unable to access fitness centre & room with a standing Aircon)
3.Staff: BELOW AVERAGE (No action even notification #2 above),

Old hotel full of retired people groups playing mahjong and cards (including full stereo noise) karaoke. People smoking in the restaurant, in the lobby, in the corridor, even cigarette buds left on the floor of the swimming pool changing room. I guess it’s not made for an international crowd, locals may enjoy it more. The restaurant food was good, the people working there were very friendly to us, and the hotel is next door to the gate of the park. Overall it was ok for 1 night

Definitely worth the money!
The rooms were spacious and very comfortable, making for a pleasant stay overall. While the breakfast could have been better, the surroundings more than made up for it — there’s a lovely park nearby where you can take an electric car/cart ride to explore the area. A great option for a relaxing and budget-friendly stay.

The place is nice, next to the entrance of Chaoshan Scenic Area. The hotel is a bit shabby, with green plants directly to the window. Be careful of mosquitoes in summer. Like other reviews, the breakfast is average and closes at 9 o'clock.

Location, good in the scenic area, it used to be the Intercontinental Holiday Inn, but it is not now, the design and planning are good. But the room looks old. Breakfast is gone at 9 o'clock, you have to go at 8 o'clock. Lidingshan Lake, Tangqi, and Chaoshan North District and East District are all very close. The hotel is located at the west gate of Chaoshan Scenic Area in Linping District, Hangzhou, and enjoys the four-season scenery of "China's No. 1 Mountain for Viewing Plum Blossoms". The magnificent landscape of "Ten Miles of Plum Blossoms and Fragrance of Snow Sea" in winter is the biggest highlight, while the lush greenery in spring and the fragrant osmanthus in autumn are also unique.
Before the brand change, it was a Holiday Inn. I read a lot of reviews, all of which said it was old, so I went there with a normal mind, but it turned out to be quite pleasantly surprised. I was given the newest building No. 3, with a swimming pool, table tennis room and gym on the ground floor; although the food is popular, it has been adding three meals a day. Chaoshan Scenic Area is right next to it, and it is quite nice to see the early plum blossoms.

The plum blossom viewing in Chaoshan is actually not as good as that in my hometown Zhangjiagang Xiangshan. There is only one wintersweet in the whole scenic area, and the rest are red plums. The hotel (Building 2) is very gloomy and musty. The so-called buffet can only be described in two words: hehe. It is really not as good as the community canteen. I will not recommend relatives and friends to go there again. No wonder Holiday Inn is no longer managed. There is also an advantage that the bed is quite comfortable and does not cause back pain when sleeping.
