Be sure you know where this is before visiting. The scenic area is pretty spectacular and it’s an interesting find in the middle of the desert but seems like the whole area is underused and it shows with a lot of things closed and/or rundown. The hotel is huge but empty when we visited. Gave us The Shining vibes. Still it was cool in its own way. I think it is more of a convention hotel. Cactus house is interesting, and the quad bikes and ‘UTV’ nearby made it worth the stay.

Nightmare experience.....127€ for a dirty room with no water, the hotel has run out of food for lunch. No possibilities to hire a transfer to the spots on the desert.

The hotel is located in an oasis in the desert, and the environment is pretty good. There is a special non-smoking area, and there are no smoking signs in the room, which is better than most hotels. The internal facilities are old, the cabinet doors cannot be closed, there are not many sockets in the room, and there is no USB port, which is not very convenient. Spider silk can be seen in the corner of the room. Although the bathroom is separated into dry and wet, the drainage pipes are not smooth, and the water overflows everywhere when taking a bath. The water temperature is not hot enough for taking a bath. The breakfast is served in a meal-style, which does not cause waste. Unlike self-service, the service staff are indifferent.

Absolutely terrible!
1. The front desk staff was awful, and they lied about being fully booked.
2. The rooms are outdated, lack air conditioning, and require windows to be opened (you can imagine how many flies and mosquitoes get in with windows open at night; I got bit by over a dozen in one night).
3. It didn't get dark until after 8:00, and by 9:30 when I got back to the hotel, there was no food, so I had instant noodles.
4. The hotel amenities were inadequate, not even a disposable hairbrush.
5. The day before, they said on their livestream that the pool was closed, but it was open the next day when I arrived. Absolutely no policy.
6. Pets are not allowed. Even with my cat's litter box, cat bag, and cat mat, they still refused, saying they were afraid the wool carpet would get dirty. The reality is, their carpet was so filthy it made me sick.
Would you spend at least 600 yuan to sleep in this kind of environment?
It's only beautiful on the outside, but everything inside is utterly awful! This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in!!!

My stay at the Qixing Lake Hotel was a complete disaster. From the moment I checked in, I was utterly miserable.
We booked our room ten days in advance through Ctrip, but when we arrived, we were told the reservation "couldn't be found." We were left waiting at the front desk for two hours. Not only was there no effective response, but they repeatedly tried to force us to cancel our reservation and order on-site, forcing us to not order through Ctrip. Are they planning to close the hotel and take orders and collect payments themselves?
The most unacceptable thing was the extremely poor service at the front desk. It's no exaggeration to say it was the most outrageous service experience I've ever had. The male receptionist on duty on the evening of May 31st was particularly egregious. He acted like a "big shop, big customer" and not only refused to resolve the issue, but also declared, "Report it if you can. We welcome it." Given this, we certainly won't let your "gracious invitation" down. We will file a real-name report to Ordos 12345 to see just how shady this place really is.
After discussing the attitude, let's talk about the environment. While the amenities seemed acceptable (after all, before the Yili Group became the subject of legal proceedings, they probably spent a considerable amount of money on who knows what), the hygiene was appalling: no hot water in the room, the toilet was clogged, the bathtub hadn't been cleaned of what looked like fecal matter, and the towels looked unusable... it simply didn't deserve the title of "resort hotel."
Breakfast? There were practically no options, the selection was laughably pathetic, barely enough to fill a stomach, and it was seriously at odds with the hotel's price and publicity. It's fair to say we were being ripped off.
We also bought a package deal for the hotel and scenic area, but ended up having to go back and forth between the hotel and the visitor center for hours, with neither side acknowledging their commitment. It felt like a lawsuit, and we finally managed to get it done after repeated attempts. It was a truly terrible experience.
In summary: From check-in to check-out, I was completely frustrated and completely devastated. The price wasn't a reward for enjoyment, but rather a complete exasperation. If you've never been through a lot and want to experience what it means to be scolded without feeling pain, then I highly recommend staying here. But if you're looking for a relaxing vacation, please bring a tent and don't even set foot in this hotel.
A few stars are too many.

Having stayed in so many hotels, this is the first time I can't help but comment that this is the only hotel in the scenic area. It looks good based on the price, but only those who have stayed there know.
1. The receptionist was very enthusiastic and took my luggage on his own initiative. My first impression was quite good.
As soon as I moved in, I discovered that the air conditioner was roaring loudly, the toilet button required skill - if you pressed it incorrectly the water would just keep flowing, and the sink drain was half-blocked, so after using it you had to wait for the water to flow out before you could use it again. There was a male waiter at the front desk with a bad attitude. I booked a family room for four people, and there were only two 335ml bottles of water in it. I asked for four more bottles, but he said it would be charged. This is the first time I heard that hotels charge for mineral water! The one point deducted from the service was by the male receptionist! The cleaning staff has a better attitude than the male waiter at the front desk! However, the fireworks show during the May Day holiday is still a plus!

The room is big enough, the bed is comfortable, the hot water for shower is plenty, but it needs to be adjusted because of solar energy, otherwise it is sometimes hot and sometimes cold. The breakfast is also good, with all the basics. It was a holiday and there were fireworks at night, which was really nice, a full ten minutes, very good

It is very convenient to stay here when visiting Qixing Lake. Especially close to the lonely tree.
The environment and hygiene are very good. There is also a restaurant where you can order dishes or choose to have a buffet. It is a desert scenic area, so don't be too picky and eat as much as you can.
The facilities are a bit old and there are very few sockets in the room.

The hotel has no service, the room facilities are old, there is a dripping sound from the toilet in the bathroom, the sheets are not made flat, and the towels are also very old. The breakfast is hard to describe. Apart from the freshly cooked and unpalatable noodles, there is really nothing else to eat. The water is served in paper cups, just like in a hotel. The room charges 5 yuan for an extra bottle of mineral water. We stayed there for two nights, and on the second day, it took us four or five calls to finally clean the room until almost evening. This kind of hotel service costs more than 1,000 per night. It only has a magnificent appearance, but nothing else is satisfactory. It is really not worth it and I don't recommend it! ! !
