The dinner was phenomenal!!! Absolutely delicious! Beautiful mountain view from restaurant and cabin. Staff service was exceptional and rooms were tidy and clean. Location was also very convenient for travelling to Waitomo Glowworm Caves. All in all, a wonderful place to stay.

The front desk lady was very nice. We had two rooms to choose from. There is a farm around, with goats, sheep, cows, ostriches, and a pig. One star is given to the pig, who was super friendly and purred as soon as we met. It is a good choice for those who want to see the caves but don't want to drive too far. The only drawback is that there are all kinds of insects in the room. You can only pretend to be blind as there are too many to kill.

Basic but clean but lacking things - like empty shower soap dispenser etc. Very noisy highway with no noise or temperature dampening in the building.

Previous guest bar of soap in shower. Long hair in the sink. Did staff clean the bathroom? Pillows were flat.

The property needs a lot of maintenance, especially the driveway and parking areas. Huge potholes.
It is not good for older people to have to walk up and down steep steps to be admitted and get a key.

The accommodation was basic but clean. The staff were very friendly. Unfortunately the bed was extremely uncomfortable and our room was right on the main road. They provide earplugs for the room which was a red flag!
