The Portage Centre is spacious, perfect for entertaining & tastefully remodeled to pay tribute to the area’s rich ice hockey tradition.iThe Portage Centre is the foremost destination for adventure seekers, & large families as it sits at the gateway to the Keweenaw, & is located just steps from the famed Jack Stevens snowmobile trail and Portage Canal.The building has a long history as The General Glass Company, but the owners recently purchased the building to create the Portage Centre. The Portage Centre is a fully remodeled 3 bed/3 bath luxury home. The guest area consists of the entire 1750 sf main floor while the basement was retained by the owner for storage, caretaker apartment and is inaccessible to guests. While staying at The Portage Centre, guests do not share spaces or amenities with anyone else. The property is located along Hancock Street (US41) and is in the middle of everything. If you are a light sleeper there is a chance the traffic noise could wake you in the front bedroom. The Master bedroom is located in the rear of the building and traffic will not affect most sleepers.
