Mainsail Motel & Cottages

My husband and I spent 3 days here. The room was spacious, clean, and bed was comfortable. The walk to the beach was just a few minutes. We had a free parking spot but never once used the car after arrival. The heated pool was an added bonus. Everything was in walking distance. Will definitely come back again. My only suggestion is to bring your own soap and shampoo. Although it was provided, it was minimal - it wasn't enough to get a good lather going. But this is only a very, very minor complaint.

Let me tell you. Kara’s presence is sadly missed. We stayed there all the time. New ownership. The manager is an ass. I rented a 2 bedroom suite. I always go around and wipe things a bit Remote controls, maybe doorknobs, bathroom. The toilet was dirty. Looked like someone had diarrhea before they checked out. Around the toilet was dirty. There was barely any toilet paper or soap for the bathroom. When I realized the floor was kind of gross too, I went down to stop by the office the get the soap that was missing and some toilet paper and honestly complain. The manager was a ****. He said-“in a cottage it is up to the guests to clean. We just check them”. 😳 Shocked I said-“We are considered a cottage? “(Even so a cottage would’ve had to have been cleaned when checked. Especially the dirty toilet!) He said- Where are you? I said 22. He was like - “Oh well I’ll send someone up soon. That isn’t a cottage.” I am still fuming because that was 2 hours out of my stay. He an absolute ****. So sad. I’m trying to move on and get over it. He stopped up as the girl was finishing and acted like things were great but noticed the look I gave him. I told him what bothered me and he said- “Hey we have a lot of people check in here. How was I supposed to know you weren’t in a cottage”?. 😳😡🤬 Not even the point.

A great little gem in between some jagged rocks. Super clean. Great parking. Pool was immaculate. Every single guest there acted like they knew you for years. The people who own the place could have said no rooms. They went out of their way to find us a place that night. Some awesome couple made me coffee after we talked the next day. Home away from home this place is.

The mainsail is a block from the beach rooms are clean and quiet. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. There are many food options within a 2-minute walk. The pool is well maintained. They even provide small bags of ice at the office that are the perfect size for 2 beverages for the beach. Highly recommend and we will be back
