Stayed for a week in September and with some little misgivings had a very enjoyable holiday. The standout memory is the friendliness of the staff and that is pretty much all other them from the reception through to gardeners, all were smiling and greeted you with warmth. The hotel is a clean and tidy 4 star starting to show it age in some areas. The bathroom in the room was certainly in need of a little bit of a make over albeit it was clean with hot water at all times, it was tired. The room was clean and tidy again a little tired but acceptable. The safe in the room is free of charge, nice to see. Kettle and cups in the room but no tea of coffee, bring your own or grab some in restaurant. There were sun beds free all day but it still beats me that people were rushing down at 0600 with towels to secure a bed, what's wrong with these people. Great clean and well maintained pool and relaxation areas leading to a beach with again lots of sun-beds. Dining was overall a fine experience, the main self service restaurant was used for lunch and dinner and provided a good selection of hot and cold food. Breakfast was served in a smaller side restaurant and provided a limited selection of hot and cold food. I have to say not my best eating experience. Over and undercooked greasy omelettes made to order dependent on which chef was cooking. The hot buffet was overall a disappointing experience everything seemed cooked to death or tasteless. The limited salad was entirely acceptable as was the fruit selection. A couple of moans, Hotel tax I know one has to pay as I have visited Tunisia a few time before and always paid by card in local currency. This was not acceptable and they wanted cash if not Tunisian dinar, £sterling or euro. This being a closed currency unless you have secured some dinar on arrival at the airport you are stung and have to pay in cash at a very high rate of hotel exchange. Be aware. There is no bottled water included in the AI but water stations are provided throughout the hotel Bring a water container of you end up having to purchase and over priced hotel item. Would I visit again, yes but would be aware of the shortcomings.

This was my first trip to Tunisia and it didn't disappoint. From start to finish, every member of staff were so friendly. The entertainment team amazing, I had a Hammam massage in the spa which was well worth the money as well as a hot oil massage and a pedicure too. The beach was very clean, the food & drink flowed a plenty and there really was something for everyone

The staff make this holiday, they are truly friendly, helpful and energetic. Food is as you would expect at an all inclusive & it’s only draw back is the time slot for dinner of an evening when you have to stick to your time & table. Outside area of the hotel, plenty of sun loungers, tables, parasol’s. Well maintained gardens/trees and paths. Pool bar is a favourite for a nice chilled drink watching the world go by. Crazy train excursion is an absolute must!!!!! Glad I was talked around into going, beat shopping trip in ages. Beach area lovely blue sea plenty of loungers, showers just off the beach along with a drinks bar and BBQ restaurant. Just watch out for the locals selling stuff, they are a bit annoying as in your face. Activities are endless during the day, aqua-aerobics, archery, darts, tennis…….. The catamaran excursion also a highlight seeing the coastline. My first time experience of Tunisia and not disappointed so it won’t be my last.

First time at the Phenica hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive, nothing was to much. We arrived mid morning and wasn't expecting to get straight into our room, but we did. The room was good, kettle, fridge, the tea and coffee wasn't in the room, as soon as we told reception it was there in less than 30 mins plus a carton of milk. Very clean room, bathroom a good size, could maybe do with an upgrade. Shower was always hot. Balcony a good size. Our housekeeping guy Chokri, was fantastic. The restraurants on site were very good a good choice to match even the fussiest eater. Afternoons at 14.30 there would snacks, cakes, ice-cream, waffles and crepes. The entertainment team have been the best in all resorts we have visited. During the day you could take part in any of the activities, no pressure. Archery is good and also bouille, never done them before but geat fun. If you can, go out on the crazy train. It is the most unforgettable experience with Spiderman for four hours. All members of staff are very friendly but the entertainment staff made our trip, with also the great shows they put on every night. We would fully recommended this resort. Our family in Switzerland are talking about visiting this lovely hotel next year.

"We recently celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary at the Hotel Phenisa, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived at midday, the staff's warm smiles and refreshing lemon drinks set the tone for a fantastic stay. The reception team's flexibility and willingness to accommodate our request for a swim-up room upgrade were impressive. For just £30 extra per day, we enjoyed a luxurious room with a stocked mini-bar and the convenience of ordering drinks and snacks directly to our lounger. A huge shout-out to our fabulous cleaners, Monica and Hayet, who brought joy and laughter to our daily routine. The hotel's facilities were excellent, with easy access to the room, pool, and beach. While the breakfast selection was vast, we did notice the absence of traditional bacon and traditional sausages. But plenty eggs, yougart cereals, bread, smoothies. However, the BBQ lunch on the beach was a highlight, with delicious kebab wraps. We appreciated the allocated table for dinner at the restaurant, it meant you didnt need to look for a table and we could both go together and get out food and eat together. We arent fussy eaters and found there was a variety of food and always found something and enjoyed what we ate. I would have liked to see crackers at the cheese station. You can select a 6.30-7.30 or 8pm-9. The Chinese restaurant was also worth the £15 per person –we really enjoyed the meal and we left feeling stuffed! The entertainment team and staff were exceptional, working tirelessly to ensure our stay was memorable. The 'Crazy Train' activity was hilarious, albeit not for the faint-hearted! The boys were fantastic. The entertainment team driven shows the 80s theme and movie night were a highlight for me. The work that goes into that is outstanding. We visited the nearby Medina, on the Friday evening which offered a vibrant atmosphere and was an affordable taxi ride cost around £4 odd each way. Overall, we'd highly recommend the Hotel Phenisa for a relaxing, sun-soaked week. The staff's friendliness, flexibility, and hard work made our stay truly special. Thank you

First time to Tunisia, from the moment we arrived the staff could not be more helpful with a welcome drink and our bags being brought to our room. Everyone is happy and nothing is too much trouble. The spa is a must and excellent value we booked the 4 day package which included hot stone massage, hot oil massage, 4 hand massage and hammam with seaweed wrap. The beach is lovely with plenty of sunbeds all provided with mattresses at no extra cost. There is a good variety of food and the waiters are very attentive. The entertainment team are brilliant, they take the time to chat to everyone and get everyone engaged, you will be playing bingo and tombola before you know it! They put on a show last night which was great, they entertain the little ones before the evening begins. The rooms have a balcony, the beds are comfy my only gripe are the pillows are lumpy, the bathroom has a bath and shower and are cleaned daily by great housekeeping. The pools are well maintained and clean and excelent for all the family. I would highly recommend this hotel.
