Wow! Where to begin? This was our honeymoon and we had an incredible time! The food was fabulous, my wife keeps telling me to talk about something other than the food but it really was great and so varied. The staff, everywhere were fantastic. From the front desk, to the restaurant team to the entertainments team. We were just so Impressed. Everywhere was clean or constantly being cleaned which felt really reassuring in such a hot country. Joseph the camel man was really friendly and the camel experience was one not to be missed. A camel ride followed by traditionally baked tunisian bread and salad. And so affordable. I really describe this as a trip of a lifetime, the beach a mere 2 minute walk away and drinks, snacks and ice cream available all day. From quad biking, to camel rides, to a zulu dance show, to simply sitting by the pool and having a drink, this had everything for our honeymoon. Such a fabulous time

Amazing hotel, fabulous food, lovely staff. Entertainment team are best we have ever seen. Me Bean, Madi, Memo, Katty, Speedy and Sherif went above and beyond to keep everyone happy. Plenty of food suitable for all. Waiters very attentive. Clean surroundings, no problems with getting sunbeds. Lovely clean beach. Excursion guys by the pool were great. Have re booked for next year. Thank you all for an amazing holiday.

Well what can I say. Best holiday we have ever had. The room was clean and other than one small mishap with the towels being forgotten all was fantastic. The animation team are amazing and all bring such fun and character to the entertainment.

First time to Tunisia and so glad we chose this hotel. Had early morning flight from Glasgow so were at hotel 11.30am. Cases taken from us and into American Bar for refreshments, a 10min introduction and forms to be filled out. After this we went te reception to be informed our room not ready. To come back in half hr. No problem. We strolled round hotel getting our bearings where we came across the "snack bar" and had a bite to eat. Was so nice and fresh with a varied menu we ate lunch there every day. On going back to reception we were given keys to our room. What a lovely surprise we got. Round by The Spa. Massive newly decorated room with sea views in distance. Nothing negative to say about it. Beds, storage, bathroom & aircon 10/10. We thought the food throughout our week was fab. We never once came from breakfast or dinner saying we did not enjoy what was on offer. Loads of different parts where chefs were cooking fresh. We were given an early dinner slot and asked straight away to change to later time nps. Queued one night to get into the restaurant. A whole 5mins lol. Not a problem. Queue up in every hotel ive ever been to on holiday at night for evening meal. People rant about "The Locals". All we saw was couples and families of all different nationalities enjoying their holidays. My only slight gripe was the alcohol and cocktail choices but wasn't the be all and end all. We got by with the help of our duty free we took over . Every morning we headed to beach for few hrs. Never stepped on such white sand and readily available loungers along with a snack bar and drinks bar. Back to pool in afternoon, again the lifeguard always helped get us loungers by the main pool. First time ever did not have to get up at silly o'clock to reserve beds which was also a huge plus. Entertainment staff work so hard and like other posts said if you do not want to participate it was fine, still had time for a "hello". Most of our money we cashed was for tips for members of staff and a few souvenirs from hotel shop which we thought was very reasonably priced. We also booked our camel trip in English money through Joseph at the poolside and was worth every penny just for the experience. Lastly The Royal Kenz should be so proud of every member of their staff. They are an asset to the hotel. From reception, cleaners, bars, restaurants, beach, lifeguards and entertainment. Hope have not missed anyone out. We enjoyed our week so much we are going to return for two weeks next year.

What a great hotel. Such lovely staff, so welcoming and caring from the cleaners to the managers, they all welcome you with a smile. Our superior room over looking the gardens was nicely furnished. The Animation team were the best I have ever come across, so energetic from 10am, 6 days a week and working evenings until 11pm how they manage to keep smiling is credit to them all. They do not hassel you if you just want to chill but if you are active there are darts, boules, water polo in one of the 2 outside pools, plus more activities and Saturday is pool party afternoon with the team really getting involved and ending up in the foam with you. Friday there is even a pretend Tunisian wedding with real camels walking around the pool. Different evening entertainment, not just from the team, but they are still there working to keep you happy. Oh my goodness the food!!! I must be a stone heavier, so much choice and different themed nights. Whole salmon, whole roasted lamb, loads of gateaux. Chocolate fountain, cheese fountain. One evening I asked if they had crackers to go with the cheese, 5 minutes later a chef came looking for me at my table with a whole packet of TUC biscuits, such wonderful service. How anyone can complain in past reviews about the food, I just don't know. Moaning about cats and birds, I never saw a cat or bird in the restaurant but if you chose to eat outside of course there are going to be birds and I only saw a couple of cats that were no trouble. Plenty of sunbeds and if you can't find one the lifeguards will bring you one. The private beach is a 4 minute walk out the back gate through the beautiful gardens. There is a beach bar who serve Paninis at lunch time if you don't want to return to the hotel for the full restaurant meal or snack bar. So many people we spoke to agreed and said they will return and guess what? We have just booked to come back for Christmas. Thankyou everyone for making our holiday so memorable. The bed mattresses are rather hard but the first morning I asked for a topper and one arrived promptly, well actually it was a folded duvet under the sheet but it certainly helped.

Overall, an excellent holiday at the Royal Kenz, and we would love to return. Check in was fast and straightforward. We arrived at 12 noon but as checkout is also at 12, our room wasn’t ready. It was suggested that we have a look around the hotel and have lunch and then our room would be ready. The food available throughout the hotel was excellent at all times. Travelling with a family member who was vegetarian was no problem as there was a wide selection of quality food for every meal. We especially enjoyed the Gala dinner on a Friday evening, with drinks and starters on the terrace, and live music in the main dining room. There is a different theme each evening in the dining room, which is subtly decorated accordingly. Fresh doughnuts and crepes at breakfast and dinner were delicious! Our room was very clean and comfortable. It was cleaned every day and towels were changed as often as we wanted. (Pool towels are also available for a returnable deposit.) The shower was excellent in the en suite bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided. Everywhere in the hotel was kept so clean . Staff were always cleaning and kept the place spotless. Service in every bar or restaurant was excellent. The staff were friendly and courteous at all times. Bottled water was available at all times on request. Excellent self service coffee machines were available too. There were lots of activities centred on the main pool throughout each day, except on Monday. These organised activities aren’t our thing and this was the only aspect of the holiday which wasn’t to our liking: at times, a member of the animation team was overzealous and repetitive while using the microphone, at a loud volume which could be heard over most of the hotel grounds. At this point, we visited the hotel’s beach area, a 5 minute walk away. The beach area was well organised, with sun beds, umbrellas and a bar area. Food was also available throughout the day although we didn’t sample this. Toilets and a shower were available downstairs behind the snack bar. There is security on the beach; guards sit watching the area, police regularly drive by on beach buggies and mounted police patrol too. Security guards man the gates at all times, making the hotel feel very safe. We travelled with Tui and were very happy with every aspect of our trip. Our Tui rep at the hotel was approachable and knowledgeable, and confidently answered a few questions about the local area for us. Her welcome meeting (which we don’t usually attend) was quick and informative. Overall, we would thoroughly recommend a holiday at the Royal Kenz.

This must be our 15th holiday at Royal Kenz! We usually stay November or January for our winter getaway but we found an unbelievably cheap 11 days in June that we just couldn’t ignore. We were dreading B’ham airport as our flight was 6am (which is nearly always is to Tunisia) we got there at 3am, having check our cases in the previous day. Yes there were queues but moved reasonably quick and it took us 50 minutes from drop off to airport lounge. We have a great holiday it was very hot for us averaging 30’s everyday but we spent our time on the beach, in the sea and there was a lovely warm breeze. The beach bar is never open winter months but the last ‘summer’ holiday we had at The Kenz, a few years ago, it was and you could have a lovely lunch of grilled fish salad fries even ice cream and a nice glass of wine. It was wonderful to sit and look at the sea under the shade eat lunch and just wander back to your sun bed. Now all you get is a Panini beer or soft drinks and coffee. It’s not a lot g walk back to the hotel but often when you’ve eaten you don’t feel like trudging back in the boiling sun. The pool area in summer is very hectic and noisy but fun if you that’s your thing but if you want a sun bed you’d better be up by 6.30/7am to get your towel on one. The hotel is slowly being refurbished, it’s been the same for the last 15 years, they no longer put toiletries in the bathroom so take your own. The staff are just wonderful, most if them are our ‘friends’ now and we get 5 star treatment. We do travel far and wide but ALWAYS have at least one holiday a year at the Kenz it’s just draws us back time and time again. Long may we be able to go there.

We booked this hotel for our wedding anniversary! It looked stunning and only a short flight time! 5 stars doesn't seem enough for this place!! I've never been to a hotel before where I've been so keen to go back!! The staff are all amazing, the rooms are immaculate, the food is incredible, there's entertainment, there's relaxing, there's an amazing spa! I can't fault it! As a vegan, I was dubious about the food, but the head chef, zubiaar and the other chefs made sure I had freshly cooked food every meal time!! There's a short walk to the beach and they even have their own bar and sandwich area on the beach! The cleaning staff are absolutely amazing, thorough and truly beautiful souls!! The photographer is worth using too, he got the most beautiful pictures of us, he's professional, honest and knows how to work a camera!! Ayman is his name The jewellery man (Ali g) is truly awesome as well, purchased a ring and I absolutely love the personalised detail! The animation team have boundless energy and truly make you feel welcome, they have amazing people skills! I 100% recommend this place to anyone wanting to try a new location or find somewhere to visit over and over again!

I don’t normally leave reviews however, after the amazing experience I had here I would love to! Clean hotel, great food and very cheerful and friendly staff! The moment we stepped through the main doors we were welcomed to the moment we left on the coach. We will be back. Shout out to Chico, Mr Bean, “Ali G In The Shop” and the one and only Shisha Man. You’ve made my holiday unforgettable
