Aspen Manor Motel

I honestly cannot recall a motel that has been worse than this. Where do I start? Would it be the dirty toilet? No, that was minor. Would it be the door mat at the front of the unit filled with cigaretter butts? Perhaps! Would it be the smoke detectors - lying either on the mircowave or in a cabinet, sans batteries, and not on their ceiling mounts? Should it be the dead ants in the bath? Perhaps. Maybe more relevant would be the infestation of ants along almost all of the skirting boards Perhaps it would be the almost indifference of the management to these issues? Would it be the lack of air conditioning? Surely not since there was a fan in the unit. The fan makes more noise than a 747 during take-off? I have travelled extensively, and I honestly cannot recall a motel that has been worse then this in terms of cleanliness, responsivitiy of management, simple utilities (i.e. a reasonably working fan) or insect infestation. If I was paying $20 in a remote outpost somewhere, then perhaps this would be tolerable. But this is the most awful hotel experience that I have ever had

One of the worst motels I've ever experienced. Bathroom had lining peeling from it - bed had a noticeable sag in it. Equivalent to a doss house/hostel. Pillows were flat. Mouldy dirty curtains. Carpet was dirty. Would definitely never recommend.

The TV was broken, the shower sprayed more water on the ceiling than it did on my body, the window catches were all broken, the basin was rusted, the door handle to the toilet was broken as was the one into the bathroom, and the phone I was told to use if there were any problems was missing. There was no one on reception when I checked in nor when I checked out (nor when I went to complain). I’ve been told the place was used for social housing. I feel sorry for the people who had to stay here - what a dump!

This was booked from my work and I would never recommend anyone stay here, the reviews are all true! Will never get booked into a place without reading reviews again! I walked into the room and walked right out again, room was dirty, smelt mouldy, toilet wasn't even clean! Ended up staying somewhere else for the night.
