The check-in experience was quite bad. I highly doubt that the good reviews were based on fake reviews.
1. The hotel should be owned by Indians; the front desk and customer service staff are all Indians; half of the guests are Indians. There was a very unpleasant sour smell in the room and in the corridor. I suspected it was the so-called curry smell.
2. The room area is small.
3. The hardware facilities are very poor. There are no facilities for charging mobile phones on either side of the bed; the bathroom does not distinguish between wet and dry rooms; and the decoration is old.
4. The sanitary conditions are worrying. There are stains on the sofa and other places do not look clean.
5. The location is relatively remote.
6. The breakfast is quite basic.
Such a hotel actually costs 1,000+ per night, which is totally not cost-effective. This is the worst experience in this trip to New Zealand, bar none.
