Hotel itself is quite okayish. Room was clean and spacious. Friendlines of the staff varied person by person. Front desk person was somehow annoyied when we checked in. SPA was really nice. Kids liked it very much. Restaurant was poor. Restaurant staff was nice and friendly but the food quality was poor, during the breakfast and also during the dinner. Would be nice to visit the place again...but let's see...

The family room was very spacious and it was nice to have bathrobes for the kids as well. The spa was quite small, but the kids as well as the adults had a good time there. Also, I liked the surrounding nature and the Aulanko park very much. The hotel is easily accessible also without a car, by train and taxi/local bus. The breakfast was good, but otherwise the hotel restaurant was a disappointment. I tried to book a table for dinner as soon as we had checked in before 4 pm, but there wasn't room in the restaurant before 9 pm, which was too late for the kids, and we ended up ordering pizzas to the hotel room. Lunch wasn't served, you could only buy hot dogs, salads and sandwiches at the spa cafe. Because of the lack of decent restaurant services, I wouldn't recommend the hotel for a longer stay, at least not for a family with small kids.

Hotel is located in a beautiful place, between the lake and the forest. A lot of activities available. Rooms should be renovated, no air conditioning and some small things to fix here and there.

Was very shocked to find the toilet sink TAP dirty . Even when i requested it to be cleaned they cleaned badly . After taking a picture & showing the receptionist , that’s when it was well cleaned . Very disgusting

A filthy carpet in the restaurant, vomit/snot on the room window (it must have been there a while, nobody had bothered to wipe it), RAW chicken fillet on the plate. To call the menu "Italian" is an insult to Italian cooking. Stay away, just stay a way.

We have been to Aulanko multiple times in the past the experience has been good enough to return. This time not sure if this will be the last time. We arrived prior to check-in and the room was not ready. No worries but, as a prepaid customer to be told we cannot access the pool without paying an additional fee because we did not "officially" check-in was ridiculous. I do not blame the staff but, I do blame the policy. All the staff was nice but I did grade the service poor because the staff is not incentivized to excel at customer service. Simply example we were checked in to our rooms and was simply told how to get to our rooms. Nothing about what is available on the site, what time breakfast begun, no upselling anything on property. Scandic is doing a disservice to themselves and it's guest by not thinking of the customer experience.

The restaurant was terrible. There was lack of personnel in the restaurant, because of that most of the people were sent away. I had to wait much to long for my dinner.

Restaurant was a complete joke. High prices, small portions and low quality. I never had this small antipasto even from classy resourant. I recommend to order food from some other restaurant or from McDonalds. Never again. Should be avoided.
