Best Hotels near Marias Ballroom, Hamburg

Great location. Easy to get around and get back to the place at night. If you're a light sleeper I wouldn't recommend the shared rooms, people coming back late at night, the doors close quite loudly. My only complaint is that I received a keycard to the wrong room and walked right into a private suite.. Nobody was there thankfully and I just walked right out, but if I were staying in a private room I would hate to think that strangers could just walk into my room where all my belongings are lying around. Otherwise clean and quite a cool environment.

Stayed in a single room, then switched to a 6 man dorm on the final night as it was Sunday and was expecting it to be very quiet. The single rooms are spartan and there is not even a chair, just some little stuffed stool. The issue in Hamburg is that accomdation is expensive in the city. For the same money, you could stay at a very nice 3 star hotel in many European cities! The 6 man dorm seemed quiet and ok, and then I noticed the issues. There were beer stains on the floor that acted as adhesive for my shoes. Crumbs and discarded sweet rappers in and around the bed. I had the room to myself so didn't complain. Settled for a decent night's rest. That's when someone came in at midnight (Sunday) and loudly stomped around, turning on all of the lights. They then took a shower and took their merry time settling into bed... For the price the rooms are not up to scratch. However, there aren't many ”cheaper” alternatives in Hamburg and the hostel (that charges hotel prices) know this. The check-in service was tedious and there's a queue at check in time. When I switched rooms to the 6 man dorm I said I wanted an early checkin to the that room if possible, and on the quiet side of the building (non motorway). They said no problem. Then, when I went to the room, it was of course on the noisy side. Went back and had to wait a couple hours longer before I could access the quieter room that I had asked for. The customer service is not great. They'll ask for your booking number even after you tell them your name. I did not feel like digging around for the number so I said my name and they searched for it (much to their distain probably).

Es ist immer wieder ein Genuss in diesem Hotel zu wohnen, es hat alles zu bieten was wir uns von einem Hotel wünschen. Ausstattung, Größe der Zimmer, Design, Bar, Restaurant usw., wir würden dem Hotel glatt 5 Sterne geben aber dafür fehlt wahrscheinlich der Pool. So oder so wir kommen wieder, denn für uns ist das Best Western Plus Hotel Böttcherhof die Top-Adresse in Hamburg, Danke.

Zum Preis ist das Hotel ganz okay. Das beste ist die Lage: etwa 5 Minuten zur S-Bahn und zur U-Bahn, etwa 100 m zu dem Supermarkt, der Drogerie, dem Apotheker und ganz viele Restaurants (z.B. vietnamesisches, persisches, libanesisches, türkisches) Aber bestimmt ist das Hotel nicht perfekt. Der Schreibtisch im Zimmer ist winzig und es fehlt ein Stuhl. Es gibt nur zwei Polsterhocker. So unbequem! Es gibt keinen Eisenbügel, Kaffeemacher oder Wasserkocher. Abends ist das Esszimmer bzw. Gemeinschaftraum geschlossen. Also keinen Platz für eine Besprechung oder außerhalb dem Zimmer zu arbeiten. Aber wenn man vorhat, im Zimmer nur zu schlafen und baden, dann geht es ganz gut.

Great value for money close to the Zoo.. even though it was perhaps not a topnotch hotel, we thought we got good value for money with spacious and clean rooms and easy access to parking (which is not a given in Hamburg)… breakfast was ok as well :-)

Waren für 2 Nächte hier. Hotel mit der S3 und dem Bus 2 perfekt zu erreichen. Auch gibt es genügend Parkplätze vor und um das Hotel herum. Da das Hotel an einer rund um die Uhr gut befahrenen Straße liegt,macht das Schlafen mit offenem Fenster unmöglich. Hotel war sauber,Personal freundlich und es gibt eine Bar und genügend Sitzmöglichkeiten in der Lounge. Katastrophe war die Organisation des Frühstücks.Freie Tische wurden schnell wieder in Beschlag genommen ohne das dass Servicepersonal Zeit hatte abzuräumen.Es staute sich überall im Frühstücksraum und am Büffett. Tischzuweisungen durch das Personal wären besser. Am zweiten Tag war die Lage etwas entspannter. Für einen Städtetrip völlig ok.Preis-Leistung ok.Hamburg ist halt teuer.

I was from 28.07.22 - 29.07.22 in the beautiful Intercityhotel Hamburg-Barmbek. We were welcomed by a quite young receptionist. She was very professional and especially friendly. You already felt right well. The wish in the 3. The floor was filled with a beautiful view. The beautifully furnished room has a pleasant size ( we had noticed the cheapest category). The bed was very comfortable and let us have beautiful dreams. There is even Sky Sport/Bundesliga for which men may be interested. Also a minibar with a free water bottle has jumped into our eyes. Very worth praising! Also there was a great rain shower! The only manko was the air conditioning, which was already set at -1 degree Celsius at the arrival. But it was then possible to adjust it individually. What we also felt positive is that there is a free ÖPNV ticket for each hotel guest including. This was very good because we went to Musical ,”Wicked” in the evening and we could conveniently drive to the stage theater new Flora. To the train station you need only a maximum of 2 minutes from the hotel. Generally, this is a very good central hotel. Let's come to the only critical points, and to breakfast, which is currently offered for €17 per person. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed at that point. Most because we paid together at first €51 for it. The breads were very hard. The spoon was dry and the stick appeared not to be made by itself. For this price it was not good at all. This was notified at the reception below and the criticism was also taken very seriously. The woman was also a young receptionist and also very friendly. After our question how to stay here now, we were friendlyly refunded a breakfast and the parking ticket. You can't really make meckers at the service. We found this great small hotel in New Wulmstorf and we were very happy to find a so beautiful and tasty house. The rooms are spacious, very nicely furnished and absolutely clean. Although our room was on the Bundesstraße, we have not got anything from the street, thanks to the multi-glass windows. The room is with a small Nespresso machine so you can make a coffee in the morning and enjoy it relaxedly in bed. The bathroom is also well cut. The shower with glass doors is large and there is no water running out when doing the shower - which is unfortunately often the case in many hotels. The staff are very premature, polite and helpful. As our relatives live nearby, we will certainly visit this pleasant hotel more often.

Recommended again and again! A real luxury hotel where (almost) everything is right. We have been there several times and are always very impressed with the room, staff and especially the breakfast. Only this time there was a problem with the heating, it couldn't be turned on, a valve was broken. Unfortunately, this was not fixed until the third complaint on our part. Defects can occur, no problem, but then they have to be fixed quickly.
