Hotels near Hamburger Kunsthalle in Hamburg

Great value for money close to the Zoo.. even though it was perhaps not a topnotch hotel, we thought we got good value for money with spacious and clean rooms and easy access to parking (which is not a given in Hamburg)… breakfast was ok as well :-)

Great location. Easy to get around and get back to the place at night. If you're a light sleeper I wouldn't recommend the shared rooms, people coming back late at night, the doors close quite loudly. My only complaint is that I received a keycard to the wrong room and walked right into a private suite.. Nobody was there thankfully and I just walked right out, but if I were staying in a private room I would hate to think that strangers could just walk into my room where all my belongings are lying around. Otherwise clean and quite a cool environment.

Zum Preis ist das Hotel ganz okay. Das beste ist die Lage: etwa 5 Minuten zur S-Bahn und zur U-Bahn, etwa 100 m zu dem Supermarkt, der Drogerie, dem Apotheker und ganz viele Restaurants (z.B. vietnamesisches, persisches, libanesisches, türkisches) Aber bestimmt ist das Hotel nicht perfekt. Der Schreibtisch im Zimmer ist winzig und es fehlt ein Stuhl. Es gibt nur zwei Polsterhocker. So unbequem! Es gibt keinen Eisenbügel, Kaffeemacher oder Wasserkocher. Abends ist das Esszimmer bzw. Gemeinschaftraum geschlossen. Also keinen Platz für eine Besprechung oder außerhalb dem Zimmer zu arbeiten. Aber wenn man vorhat, im Zimmer nur zu schlafen und baden, dann geht es ganz gut.

We stayed at the Hyperion Hamburg for one night during our roadtrip through Europe. Arriving by car is very convenient, since the hotel is located close to a major road and offers garage parking with direct access to the hotel. Also, the location is great for sightseeing, as most of the city center is reachable by foot. We got a nice big corner room on one of the upper floors, with great views, comfortable beds, and lots of space for the 3 of us (2 adults and one child). The breakfast was very good, with many different options.

Ww chose Cab20 as an affordable way to stay in Hamburg close to the Hauptbahnhof. We also were keen to try the pod hotel experience. Cab20 is a boutique experience that appears to strive for high levels of comfort and design. It succeeds with both. The interior is visually stunning and very functional. It is easy to get to on foot and is close to the middle eastern restaurants in Kurt-Schumacher Allee and the trendy cafes located near Aussenalster. Our pod was comfortable, bathroom facilities are clean and well managed and the common areas are cosy and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful. A big thanks to Moses for his friendly conversation and advice on nearby bakeries. We’d stay again!

It was a pleasure to return to this hotel the staff were as ever exceedingly helpful and professional Thecovid 19 restrictions were being enforced throughout the hotel with tables having to be booked for all meals . an excellent menu for the evening meal was first-rate and the normal Continental Breakfast was fulfilling and in abundance. I will recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Hamburg and indeed I am looking forward to my next trip in November.

TLDR: New aparthotel, near subway We stayed at Aparthotel Adagio Access Hamburg in June-July. Had a family studio for four. Everything is just like in pictures, this a brand new hotel (and it’s not in progress anymore). Our view was on subway side and it was peaceful. We had windows wide open on nights when kids slept and they didn’t notice anything. Location is not in the middle of everything, but it’s between two subway stations (Lübecker Straße and Uhlandstraße). Many visitors seemed to have their cars with them (there is parking space), but we were interrailing and this worked well for us, too. Check out 9 am day tickets! Stayed almost a week. There’s Rewe and Aldi supermarkets nearby and also restaurants (eg. Domino’s). The hotel has basic kitchen appliances + Nescafe machine. You can also loan other kitchen appliances (toaster, coffee machines, rice cookers etc) from the reseption. There is also free air hockey that you can play after 4 pm. There is a small gym (for free) downstairs and laundry machine (you need coins, 4 €/load). You get coffee and tea for free from breakfast area (even though you didn’t buy breakfast, we didn’t), but there’s milk (for latte, hot chocolate etc) only during the breakfast time. Only thing was that our room was next to elevators and the door before them is surprisingly light, and made a sound to our wall every time someone used it. And as we stayed a little longer and cleaning during the stay wasn’t included, it would have been nice if there was a vacuumcleaner or something to loan for cleaning (we loove Hamburg’s spielplätze and most of them have lots of sand….). But this are sooooo little, all of our family said 5/5 and want to stay again. All in all, good choice. Kids loved. Quiet place, good service.

Due to a visit to the NDR Studios on Hugh Greene Road, we have checked in here. The check-in was excellent, very competent friendly staff, we have rarely experienced so nice and above all fast. The guests were all warmly welcomed and ”checked” although a long battle was already formed. The friendly man at the reception even chose us directly a bus, with which we could go directly to the NDR Studios. The rooms they are small, but clean for it, and the window can be opened, I always find it good if you can regulate the fresh air itself. The bed is only 140 broad, that might have been written in the booking before. It is already limitable for two small but large people. All was clean and the bathroom was as well maintained and ordinary. Breakfast was OK, at the mass of people, but something troublesome. But this should not be a point of decline, that is just like when the hotel is booked. We arrived at the day Beyoncé played in Hamburg ... In general, it is very recommendable if you have to do on the edge of Hamburg or positions, the hotel is not central, But it points just by price and modernity and very nice staff! A parking lot is available in the parking garage adjacent to hotel areas for 10EUR per day.

We did one night stop on our way from Berlin to Billund, the hotel is far from the city center but that´s not our goal this time so the location was good for us. The room was clean and a note was left on the bedtable saying ”Welcome enjoy your stay” which was nice. Breakfast was crowded ( in elevators you can find rush hours of breakfast ) and the staff barely had control at some point. Breakfast had good variations for all of us. The parking lot was located in the basement and you could walk straight from there into an elevator. All in all, clean hotel with great staff and fine locationif you are not planning on spending alot of time in city center.

I was from 28.07.22 - 29.07.22 in the beautiful Intercityhotel Hamburg-Barmbek. We were welcomed by a quite young receptionist. She was very professional and especially friendly. You already felt right well. The wish in the 3. The floor was filled with a beautiful view. The beautifully furnished room has a pleasant size ( we had noticed the cheapest category). The bed was very comfortable and let us have beautiful dreams. There is even Sky Sport/Bundesliga for which men may be interested. Also a minibar with a free water bottle has jumped into our eyes. Very worth praising! Also there was a great rain shower! The only manko was the air conditioning, which was already set at -1 degree Celsius at the arrival. But it was then possible to adjust it individually. What we also felt positive is that there is a free ÖPNV ticket for each hotel guest including. This was very good because we went to Musical ,”Wicked” in the evening and we could conveniently drive to the stage theater new Flora. To the train station you need only a maximum of 2 minutes from the hotel. Generally, this is a very good central hotel. Let's come to the only critical points, and to breakfast, which is currently offered for €17 per person. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed at that point. Most because we paid together at first €51 for it. The breads were very hard. The spoon was dry and the stick appeared not to be made by itself. For this price it was not good at all. This was notified at the reception below and the criticism was also taken very seriously. The woman was also a young receptionist and also very friendly. After our question how to stay here now, we were friendlyly refunded a breakfast and the parking ticket. You can't really make meckers at the service.
