This hotel is actually quite good. Located near the city centre which you have to take the bus for 2 stops if you do not want to walk. But the distance is walkable! Around 15 minutes which is acceptable. The hotel room we booked is a private room which is very clean and bright, overall we had a nice stay there. However, to be honest, it is a bit expensive. But overall okayyyy.

Decent hygiene and decent facilities. The elevator is so old-fashioned. Convenient location.

Cheap but old, not clean,charger broken, walk about 15 mins to Hbf

the room was clean and nice. although my room's window is somehow broken and can not be tilted, otherwise it's all very good. but because it doesn't have AC, so you have to sleep with window open. Beware it can be noisy.

Good location. But there were lots of noises from kids in the hostel, we could barely sleep.

Nice hotel!! Price / comfort very good!

Stayed here for Valentine's Day and had a really nice stay. Our private room had a really nice view over the rail tracks where you could look out and enjoy the trains going by. Only complaint is that it gets pretty loud early in the morning. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Would recommend this hostel/hotel to anyone visiting Hamburg. The location in particular is amazing, we were at most 25 minutes away from any of Hamburg's main sights. Will be staying A&O again in the future, for sure.

Location superb. A short bus ride or 10 mins walk to the main station. Check in slow. The front desk saw a line but acted that they were going to take their own pace anyway. Room wasn't very soundproofing. I stayed a single room and can hear neighbors talking. But no noise at night. In general a decent stay.

A little different from what I was expecting, average location，not bad

I stayed in a single room at a&o Hamburg Hauptbanhof for three nights, and I liked it overall. The hostel is around 8 minutes walk from the Central Train Station and just in front of a bus station. Overall, it's convenient.

Well apart from not being aware of the linen charge it was ok for a night and managed to have uninterrupted sleep. Trip refunded me for the linen which was good of them 🙏

The hostel is very well located with just a 10 minute from Hamburg train station. The hostel is very big and bedrooms include a toilet and shower which is convenient.
