Best Western Raphael Hotel Altona

We rate the hotel as good. Why there are 3 points “satisfactory” and “good” is missing is not clear to us. But for us it is not very good or excellent. The convenient location is great and was the deciding factor for our booking. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed for several days and were kindly given a room at the "back". That was great. I think it's quite loud on the station side. The room was quite small (it looks much larger in the photo), the bathroom was large in comparison. For a longer stay there were no closets and hooks or towel rails in the bathroom. A single, fairly short rod for four towels and a hook are just not enough. There was enough storage space. When we moved into the room it was clean. On the first day, however, there was unfortunately no cleaning at all, on the second only when expressly asked, on the third it worked. We suspect it was due to the lack of staff, because on the first few days it was unexpectedly very full in the house (train cancellations). The lack of air conditioning turned out to be a major disadvantage on our last night. It had gotten very warm outside and it was extremely warm in the small room despite the open window. We found the breakfast excellent. Diverse and tasty.

The staff was relatively unfriendly, the rooms were old - large - but the carpet and so on really needed to be renewed. After all, close to the Altona train station. But everything is a bit too old for me. Also no direct access to my room in the backyard with the elevator. Therefore not good.

Für einen Städtetrip ideal, nahe am Bahnhof Altona. Die Zimmer sind nicht sehr groß, aber sehr sauber und reichen für ein paar Übernachtungen. Fön, kleiner Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher, Tee und Kaffee sind auch da.

Sehr gute Lage direkt am Bahnhof Hamburg-Altona. Natürlich hört man ab und an Geräusche vom Bahnhof, während der üblichen Schlafenszeit halten sich diese aber doch in Grenzen und wirkten auf mich nicht störend. Auch von Pennern oder Alkis welche immer mal wieder erwähnt werden wenn es um solche Lagen geht habe ich nichts negatives vernommen. Mein Zimmer war völlig okay und sauber, etwas altbacken betreffend Möblierung und Teppichboden, das modernste war wohl das (kleine) Badezimmer. Eine Klimaanlage fehlte, ich kann mir vorstellen dass so eine bei heissen Tage doch vermisst werden könnte... Direkt vor meinem Fenster fand der Autoverlad für die Autoreisezüge statt... Interessant zu beobachten und da um 22.00 Uhr eh beendet auch nicht störend. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und ein guter Start in einen neuen Tag. Besonders erwähnen will ich die stets sehr freundliche Beratung an der Rezeption, sei es beim Check-in, während dem Aufenthalt oder beim Check-out. Fazit: ein uneingeschränkt empfehlenswertes Hotel wenn man bereit ist die sehr zentrale Lage und entsprechende Auswirkungen zu akzeptieren.

Das Hotel liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe des Bahnhofs Altona. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Das Personal ist sehr nett und aufmerksam. Die Matratzen des Betts erschienen uns durchgelegen (oder zu weich) und die Bettdecken waren sehr dünn (im Winter auf jeden Fall dicken Schlafanzug mitnehmen ;-). )

Positiv: sehr zentral,sehr nettes Personal,trotz nähe zum Bahnhof ruhig,sehr sauber und wirklich SEHR gutes Frühstück bei 3 Sternen......mit Fischhäppchen ,Aromasirup für Kaffee und Tee,veganes Angebot,Müsli und Nüsse und Kerne,frischer Obstsalat , viel Auswahl!!!! Sehr lecker Betten waren bequem Negativ: 135 Euro im Januar für 3 Sterne mit Blick auf den Bahnhof fand ich erst happig....das inkludierte TOLLE Frühstück hat da einiges gut gemacht! Die Zimmer und Flure sind in die Jahre gekommen aber sehr gepflegt und sauber....unser Badezimmer war bereits modernisiert und dementsprechend Gut.
