I was with a group of friends who stayed here for one night after a trip from Kiel before flying back home. It's close to the airport so this was the reason why we stayed here. The hotel looks aging and I've noticed some maintenance issues around the property, notably the gardening at the front and the middle where there are some overgrown weeds as if someone didn't take a good care of them. However the interiors are clean and we had a good stay even for just a night. The room, despite the aging looking hotel, is actually very clean and well maintained. I had a rather spacious room on the 3rd floor and it was comfortable enough although the pillows are a bit too much and smaller but that's still okay for me. Unfortunately the bathroom doesn't have a shower curtain at all and everytime I took a shower water always sprayed to the floor and this can be quite dangerous especially since the bathtub is quite slippery and there is no handrail on the wall. Would be so much better if they could install a shower curtain. The on-site restaurant has limited option of foods so there's nothing too special (could be improved, though). Staffs are friendly. Lastly, the location. As I said before the hotel is close to the airport and they have a shuttle service too but we didn't try it since we had our own. It's in a quiet neighborhood area so there isn't very much to see around, but there is a Krohnstieg Center shopping center with an Edeka supermarket within 10 minutes walking distance. If you want to go to the downtown you can take the train from the Langenhorn Markt train station not far from the shopping center. There are a few restaurants nearby, including a Chinese restaurant about 10 minutes walking towards the airport. Overall it was a decent stay although the hotel could use some improvements to make it more nicer and comfortable.
