Think this Premier Inn is in our top 3 if not number 1. Booked Premier Plus. Spotless room. Food excellent. Staff above and beyond. Treats in room for hubby’s 70th birthday. Second stay here and won’t be our last. Shame about parking charges now but we had booked 10 months ago so was free.

This was our first time staying in a Premier Plus room. We got a good price with free brreakfast in an early booking offer. The rooms are bigger , with more seating, a coffe-pod machine , Green & Blacks chocolates and bottled water in the decent sized fridge. As well as the better wifi that they usuaully charge for. Its very comfortable and quiet (until the builders set off the fire alarm) . I would have liked some decaff coffee for the pod machine. Dinner in the Thyme restaurant , which we'd not been tempted by before, was surprisingly good and a good gluten free steak dinner with adjustments from the helpful staff, was devoured.

Great value hotel. We stayed for one night on our way up north paying £51 for the night. We found the hotel very clean, bed was comfortable, enough towels and coffee etc. you can help yourself to more coffee in the lobby at any time. Staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We had an evening meal in the hotel which was great value for money although be aware they can only take tips in cash (who carries cash these days 🤷🏻‍♀️), cost of meal and 2 drinks was £32! We did not have breakfast and instead opted for fresh pastries from Lidl. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Thirsk, there is an Aldi opposite and a Tesco and Lidl one mile down the road where the town shops are also located. We drove through the town on our way out and there looked to be a good selection of independent coffee shops. There is somebuilding work in the car park but there is still plenty of spaces,we stayed on a Friday night and there were still spaces late at night.

We booked Thirsk Premier Inn as we had had a good experience on a previous visit. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and we appreciated the fact that we could adjust the heating. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The buffet style breakfast was good value, and there were plenty of healthy options. Staff members were friendly and helpful, and as we recognised several from a previous visit, I guess that they enjoy working there. We would definitely consider staying again next time we are in Yorkshire.

Do Not Stay here - So the hotel is fine as you would expect from a premier inn however we stayed here just before Christmas to visit family and they have cost £500 worth of damage to my 4 week old car. I've been in touch with both the hotel and guest support and they don't want to know. The fence in the pictures is made out of wood and when we arrived was still a wooden colour. When we left 2 days later the fence was purple. The weather was strong gusty wind and rain for most of the time. Some clever person must of sprayed the fencing as opposed to a roller as my car is peppered in purple paint. I only noticed after Christmas when washing my car and they said because of this they cant do anything. Id understand if it was white paint but not many places use the premier in purple that you can clearly see on the photos. I was parked far away from the fence as super paranoid about damaging it. If you stayed here on the weekend of the 20th DEC then I urge you to check your car for these paint marks. So Now I am £500 down after having to send my new car away to be treated and machine polished Shame on you

Good location, nice room, easy to use air con, comfy bed, fab breakfast, only 20 min walk into town centre. Parking was ok but the hotel is having an extension built so I would imagine weekdays could be a little noisier than at the weekend, All on all this hotel is recommended.

The room was so very clean fresh and comfortable with a powerful shower , it was a much needed surprise to have such a comfortable stay. I stayed in a much more expensive hotel the first night and found premier in so much more comfortable and clean for half the price
