Nature Resort

Fantastic Yala Safari and great little hotel! We had a great time staying here - and went on a great Jeep safari with Pasanna organised through the hotel. The whole family (2 teenage boys) were totally enthralled by the safari and would totally recommend Pasanna! We went on the full day safari (starting at 430am … totally worth the early start to be the first in the park!!) - which allowed a full day of immersion and a slightly more relaxed pace. (The half day safaris seemed much less relaxed…). Pasanna the driver/ guide has over 13 years experience in the park, had great 4wd drive skills, clearly knew all of the possible routes in the park - and was passionate about showing us all that was possible in the park! He was excellent at spotting hard to see animals! Note that all jeeps have to have 12-2 as rest time in the park …. We easily passed it having lunch and reading books- when the jeeps are not allowed to drive around) . We managed to see a great selection of animals including 2 leopards (which I hear is very rare), multiple families of elephants with their babies which we were able to watch for an extended period of time, water buffalo, deer, samba deer, mongoose, jackals, monkeys, peacocks, lots of amazing birds, crocodiles, monitors and bats. It truly felt like the jungle book. We got home tired, but truly satisfied with the experience! Definitely felt like it was value for money.
Hotel Whitehouse

Single rooms are not recommended for single women to book. It is in a separate place on the top of the building. It is very lonely at night. The Google navigation deviation is 200 meters. It was led by a pair of local sisters and brothers. Later, grandpa added a little money to change to the second floor. The big room, thank you very much! When I went to Ella the next day, my grandpa patiently wrote a lot of directions, but my English was too bad, and I didn’t understand and misunderstood Grandpa’s meaning. I’m very sorry! The hostel is more than 20 minutes away from Tissa Lake. I saw a tree of egrets in the evening but it was a pity that I didn't see the sunset. The way back was a bit dark. It is not recommended for single women to go back too late! All in all this is a hostel worth staying at!
La Safari Inn Tissamaharama
4.6/546 Reviews
La Safari Inn is situated in a lovely area surrounded by nature. We were welcomed by the owners with a smile. Very polite and kind people. They looked after us, always asking whether we need anything. The room was large and spacious. We rented a room with 3 separate beds. Very clean and tidy. Shower was good. We had tasty Sri Lankan dinner, they have a menu which will also cater for guests who do not want local food.. Breakfast was good. Tea and Coffee, fruits, egg and toast. We booked a full day safari with the owners. Our driver Sajith was excellent. We were not lucky enough to see a leopard(although we saw one at a long distance and up on a tree, it was not very clear).I Our safari included breakfast, lunch and water. Safari price was very competitive compared to other operators in the area. When we were leaving, the lady owner asked us to wait and brought us water bottles to take on our onward journey to Ella. Very kind gesture. Overall, we had an enjoyable and pleasant stay. We would recommend La Safari Inn.
Sea View Tourist Inn
4.3/55 Reviews
The sea view tourist hotel is very cost-effective. I originally booked for 4 days and finally stayed for 6 days. I left after booking no room. The owner is good, the room is clean, the Sri Lankan breakfast is very delicious, but it may not be available every day, go out the aisle There is a small beach with no people on the opposite side. There is a very large swimming beach with 150 meters on the right when you go out. Europeans and Americans are swimming and sunbathing. A few Chinese come here just to take photos. What a pity, it is 1 km away from the city center. Kilometers, it’s okay if you don’t call tutu. There is a beach park 3 kilometers away. The owner will pick you up by car for free. We rented the owner’s car to send to Merissa when we left. Tangalle left us an unforgettable memory! Recommend Chinese people to stay
Nest Residence - Hostel
4.5/51 Reviews
Yala Hotel Lion -Air Conditioned High Luxury Safari Camp
2.3/56 Reviews
The hotel we arrived at night, the way in was the same as the off-road test drive venue. Thanks to the car inside, it came out to pick us up. Because the normal safari park tickets were not available the next day, the hotel manager said to see if he could buy one. Although he bought it, But it is also very expensive. Who made us not buy it before? The room hardware is okay, but the air conditioner cannot be turned off at night, it is extremely cold, and there is no Wi-Fi. The breakfast is too bad, not worth it. Overall, it is just average.
