The place is in an interesting location, surrounded by fields that had lots of pheasant and Water Buffalo when we visited. They welcome you in a warm, friendly, casual way and are very quick to help with bags. Our room was large and included a seating area and a balcony. The air conditioning is a bit under-powered but with the bathroom door closed it is ok. The food is all nicely prepared but they do ask you to order a meal ahead, which was unexpected. The pool and pool lounge area is comfortably shady but and un-staffed most of the day but still relaxing. At night, the pool closes early and although they offer drinks there is not really a proper bar to sit at or drink service at the pool. However, if you can find Shehan, he will treat you right and make you an excellent cocktail with just the right amount of ice...perfect for after a quick Safari.

Wild Culture Gala is the best! Location in midst of paddy fields and baying trees was excellent. The accommodation, especially the suites was magnificent though the other rooms are also great. The pool and the surrounding area was brilliant, day or night, excellent cocktails to relax with. Food - both Sri Lankan and Western was out of this world - the team producing the food are really skilful - taste and presentation be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. People - the staff and management are very welcoming, service was first class. Thanks Wasa and team!

Lovely oasis and great base for a trip to Yala. Relatively expensive by Sri Lankan standards but cheap by Western standards and not over-priced - the place is immaculate. Hotel has only 8 rooms so a very personal service. We had Upul looking after us during our stay and nothing was too much trouble - many thanks Upul!! The hotel organised the safari for us and our driver/guide was excellent and cheaper in comparison to online rates. Also need to mention the food, which was the best we had in Sri Lanka, both local and Western. Can highly recommend this place!

Wild Culture is in a remote location, although only 25 minutes to the Yala NP entrance. Its remoteness is what makes it so perfect. A beautiful property with well kept grounds and spacious, well equipped lodge type rooms, they have everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's so peaceful and the huge pool never has more than a handful of people in it so a great place to relax. The staff are friendly and efficient, the food is delicious (although you have to make your menu selections in advance since there are never more than around 20 guests at the property) We found it to be a perfect location although it might be a little too quiet for some people.

A stunning setting made all the better by the incredible staff. Each room is secluded with stunning views. The pool was excellent and very smartly done. We have a family room which was beautiful, clean and vast. The best bit were the staff - they gave us a safari pack and had breakfast ready for when we returned. The food was lovely, a fantastic choice for all preferences and cooked to perfect. Breakfast was brilliant!

Absolutely wonderful stay! We were here for three nights over the Sri Lankan new year, family of four boys 13/10. The rooms and grounds are gorgeous, it’s all the little touches free fruit and drinks in your room, when you are off on a safari you are provided with water and delicious lemon biscuits, so handy for the 4:30 am Safari. It never feels crowded and there were times we had the pool to ourselves. The cocktails are so good, I highly recommend the snack bite if you like a little spice. The food was very good and so much of it! The staff are lovely, the gentleman that looked after us was so very kind, especially with my boys.

We had an amazing stay here for two nights. The rooms were large and bright, with great amenities. Lakmal and Upul were helpful staff who went above and beyond for us - even helping us set up archery, shooting and mini golf on site! The restaurant also provided us with wonderful meals during our stay.
