Grand Mercure Lake Hamana Resort & Spa

I rented a car and headed there from Hamamatsu Station. There was an open-air bath and a lounge, and the breakfast and dinner buffets were luxurious and delicious. Of course, the room was clean and we had a wonderful anniversary! Thank you very much.

The parking lot is large and easy to park in. It takes about 20-30 minutes by car from Hamamatsu Station, so it's a bit far to get there by public transport (though there seems to be a shuttle bus from the nearest station). The Japanese-style room hasn't been renovated, so it's a bit old, but it didn't bother me that much. The bathroom and toilet are a bit old, but I didn't use the bathroom because I used the large public bath, so it didn't bother me. The futon was self-service, but I thought it would be nice if they would do it for you. I think it would be especially difficult for families to do it. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of food and was delicious. The venue was crowded, but we were able to get a seat because it was a ticket system. The other venue we used was empty, which was nice if it wasn't a hassle to carry the food to the venue.

The hotel's shuttle bus schedule did not match the train arrival times, so we had to wait a long time at the station in the cold, which was very inconvenient. Furthermore, there was nothing in front of the station, so there was no place to kill time. Also, we had to lay out the futon in the Japanese-style room by ourselves, which was a lot of work. When it was time to close the lounge, instead of announcing that it was time to close, they started cleaning up without saying anything, even though there were still customers there, which made us feel like we were in the way.

This hotel is comfortable and clean, the hot springs are large and have many choices, and the hotel staff speaks English very well! He made me understand how to use the facilities. I upgraded to a room on my birthday. The room has a beautiful view of the sea and the sunset. I can't lose! Will come again next time!

The location and environment of the room are very good. It is next to Lake Hamana and you can see it from a higher floor. The lobby on the first floor is also very large. The room has tatami and a bed. I feel very good when I chose tatami.
