Hotels in Ha Long

"There are many hotels around, but it is very desolate. There are few places to eat. It takes a long way to eat a bowl of pho. There are several supermarkets and specialties nearby. There were many tour groups. At 6 o'clock in the morning on the first day, the tour group woke up. It was not soundproof at all. I lived on the second floor. The toilet flushing sound upstairs, the noise of the aunt, the sound of the breakfast plate downstairs, and the unforgettable symphony. Breakfast was not bad, there was no buffet breakfast on the first day, only pho and sandwiches were ordered, but they were all delicious and fruit. The next day was a buffet breakfast, there were a lot more choices, and it was delicious. The hotel seems to be still renovated, the spa upstairs has no water, and it has not been used for a long time. The music from nowhere at night is quite noisy."

"Hotel waiter, family hospitality, good. Unfortunately, the facilities are insufficient, the room floor tiles are too smooth, there are water traces that are not dry, it is easy to practice, plus the air is not circulating, there is a smell. But the price concessions are a good choice."

"Very nice dormitory. The staff can hardly speak English or Japanese, but they are very kind. The dormitory feels more like a capsule hotel. There are only 2 washbasins and 2 toilet showers with washbasins, so there are not many toilet showers, but the hot water comes out well. Also, there was shampoo and conditioner, but for some reason there was no body soap. Breakfast was free and you could choose from several types, and I had bread and scrambled eggs. In addition, the hotel offers many Halong Bay tours, and I ordered a tour of Sung Sot Cave, Ti Top Island, boat tour, and lunch included (buses depart from and pick up at the hotel after the tour), and 800,000 VND, plus a bus to Hanoi ( This also starts and ends at a hotel (if it's in Hanoi's Old Quarter, we'll pick you up near the hotel you want to go to).I applied for a tour that cost 240,000 dong, totaling 1,040,000 dong (approximately 6,500 yen in Japanese yen), and I enjoyed it very much, so I decided to take this tour. If you are staying at a hotel, it is best to take the bus to the destination and then book the hotel tour and return bus. There were buses going to several destinations including Hue and Hanoi. Highly recommended for people who want to stay cheaply in a dormitory. The hotel is well-illuminated and bright, so it's easy to find the location even at night."

"Wonderful 2 nights stay at the DelaSea hotel. What I enjoyed most was the staff as they were all so caring and helpful. Highly professional. From the reception with Hoa taking special care of me not to mention ”Alice” and the others. Same at the restaurant. From the manager to the supervisors to the staff. I can't name them all here but they made my stay very special. Food was really good. Staff attention was ”phenomenal”. The room was great (I got one on the top floors facing the bay) and despite being a very noise sensitive person I slept very well. No loud music noise (it was on a weekend early November). The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioner was not noisy though very efficient. Good shower. I did not use the swimming pool but it looked great. By the way I was told that taking photos from the bay at sunset from the swimming pool is ”the thing to do” :) I can only praise the staff and the management for the wonderful hospitality even when super busy with big groups (which was the case during my stay). Based on my personal experience I definitely highly recommend the DelaSea hotel and it will be my choice next time I am in Ha Long."

"Although the hotel was fully booked on the weekend, the staff were friendly and the environment was pleasant. The breakfast was plentiful, and dinner was reasonably priced and delicious. We had to pay an extra 50,000 Vietnamese Dong for a bottle of water. There's a convenience store downstairs, so we could buy some ourselves. We'll definitely come back next time."
