The Yen Residences Halong

we stayed in a twin room for 3 night which was clean and tidy it had a large fridge tea and coffee facilities large TV and hair dryer there's a disco on the beach not too far away and this bangs away trance noise till 12-30 every night there's drilling and banging at around 7-30 every morning with hedge trimming adding to the noise levels breakfast is nice but sparse the only food with any warmth is eggs or the local soup which is nice The pool on the roof isn't chlorinated and didn't even have filters running(water wasn't the best) and the sauna, steam and jacuzzi room was at an extra charge you can't complain about the service as they can't be more attentive

I am very happy to recommend this place. The hotel has very nice amenities like a pool and a jacuzzi, and all necessary comfort for a lovely stay. The staff is very friendly and the manager will make your stay unforgettable by helping with whatever you need such as directions, food recommendations, language, taxi bookings and activities, making himself always available with a big smile. He will definitely make you feel at home! The hotel is located in a new complex with a lot of empty buildings so it's very quiet, which we personally enjoyed. My only advice for the hotel would be to improve the breakfast buffet with a different bread variety and maybe some yogurt and cereal. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Everything was so good as i was surprised the price pretty cheap comparing to value there. Highly recommend for bussiness trip who look for quite place, the hotel is not only good location but also has a beautiful structure like we are in europe.

A modern and good hotel, with sleeping and living room ( inclusive a kitchen, without dishes). The vietnamese breakfast was good. The city and the surrounding is new constructed. 10 min walk to a lovely palm beach. Many international food restaurants are in walking distance or yiu eat at the hotel restaurant. We tried the German Restaurant with very good fish dishes. The staff helps with booking through Halong Bay. It was an amazing Boot Trip.

Everything was good except there is a short term renovation next door while we were there. Manager did apologize to guests when they arriveat to check in the property.

I Stayed here for a holiday in December and I had the best experience. The hotel staff were very friendly and they made sure I had a great stay. They will answer every question and they have great tips for trips and restaurants. When i go back to Halong Bay, I will definitely stay at The Yen Residences again. Great place and I love the short walk to the beach.

The property has been open for about 6 months and still have a few small teething issues not nothing major. The standout is the Manager of the property. I think he must work 24/7 because he's always accessible and responsive. Our stay was very comfortable and nothing was too much trouble - the manager booked taxis, dinner reservations and a reservation at the spa (his recommendations were spot on!). Honestly, without the Manager the property would not be the same or hold the same appeal. Manager speaks very good English however staff do not and it can be a struggle. When the Manager is not around things do tend to slip - breakfast is included in the room rate but certainly nothing to rave about - the hot food was actually cold each day and we reminded staff that the warming candles had gone out - they were not checking these things themselves, coffee was not hot either but they were accommodating to heat things up (purely because I don't like cold food).

I booked this hotel only due to the reviews the GM received. My thinking was that if he is that good, then he must also have a great team. All true. The building g is brand new. We were in the part of Vietnam for my partners birthday. The GM arranged a special introduction to our room with an upgrade first of. Then rose petals on the bed spelling out happy birthday, red and white balloons everywhere and then later on one of the most delicious cakes we have ever had. We shared with the staff by the way. Anything we needed, the GM arranged. We had a private car collect from the Hanoi airport and drive the 2.5 hours to Ha Long. We paid for that. He also arranged a private car back to Hanoi for us. Once more we paid but the price was good. On our way to Ha Long our cruise was cancelled. No reason provided. Last minute the GM had us booked on another. It was not with all thw frills I had paid for on the cancelled cruise, but it was still a good cruise with Calypso 2. The breakfast was good. There wasn't a night time dinner but just down was a nice place and a bit further along were street restaurants selling fresh seafood. We had great meals there. It is a shame that more people do not choose to stay in Ha Long. To the GM Trong and his staff, thankypu for all you did.
