The check in time is insanely late. If you want to access your room before 16:00 they charge a 200kr fee for early checkin. We had no option but to do this, because the prom party started at 1600 and we needed to get ready, but next time I’ll make sure to choose a place with a reasonable checkin policy. The only fruit on the breakfast was a mushy melon. No salmon or herring. No canned fruit. Delicious bread bun though.

Pleasent staff, the rooms är clean, very tastefull breakfast and the best location in Halmstad. There are also a nice spa with jacuzzi and sauna.

We recently stayed at Hotel Scandic in Halmstad, and overall, we had a pleasant experience. The staff were exceptionally professional and friendly, especially the lady who checked us in — she was super welcoming and made us feel right at home. The service was great, but the room we stayed in could use a little renovation and updated furniture. On a positive note, the sauna and jacuzzi, which were already included in our stay, were very relaxing. We really enjoyed using them and highly recommend it to others looking for some relaxation. Despite the room needing some upgrades, we would still recommend this hotel!

We arrived Sunday afternoon for one night. The bar was closed. We had booked a standard room for two. It was the smallest room I’ve seen, no where to hang your clothes. Difficult to move around with two persons in the room.

Difficult to find parking, room far away from reception.Breakfast with soggy scrambled eggs and small bowls of marmelade not refilled. An expensive stay - even compared to hotels in Norway.
