We journeyed from Frankfurt/Main for a three day stay to visit friends and the Bamberg Xmas Market. We were given a large bedroom with a very high ceiling, the two radiators on the outside wall under the single pane windows were cold to lukewarm - there was no way our room was going to be warm and comfortable! I mentioned this to the reception desk, it was passed on to ' housekeeping/technic ', answer was ' there was air in the rads', even after letting the air out they were still exactly the same - lukewarm- even though the thermostats were all the time on position 5 !!! Staff members very friendly/polite. Breakfast buffet was plentiful with a good choice of nearly everything e.g. freshly made scrambled eggs, fried bacon & the usual boiled eggs. Wi-fi didn't seem to reach our room on the first floor even though our room was above the reception area. If the room hadn't have been so cold the we would have enjoyed our three night stay much better.

Das Hotel ist etwas in Jahre gekommen und sollte dringend neu bewertet werden. So wird z. B. bei der Buchung mit einer Sportsbar und vielem mehr geworben. Bei der Ankunft jedoch muss man feststellen, dass all diese Annehmlichkeiten bis auf Weiteres geschlossen sind. Des Weiteren machten sehr laute Gäste und vor allem eine im Zimmer nicht funktionsfähige Heizung die Nächte unerträglich (lang und kalt). Aus diesem Grund habe ich eine fette Erkältung mit nach Hause genommen, die mich in der kommenden Woche an mein Bett binden wird. Drei Versuche über zwei Tage den Geschäftsführer oder wenigstens eine Reparatur der Heizung herbeizuführen schlugen fehl. Eine kurzfristige schnellere Abreise war bedingt durch die Anreise mit der Bahn leider auch nicht möglich. Es wurde auch zu keiner Zeit ein Zimmerwechsel angeboten, noch kam es zu einer Entschuldigung seitens der Geschäftsführung. Dieser absolut unangenehme Aufenthalt wird uns ewig in Erinnerung bleiben. Wer jedoch Abenteuer und Survivals liebt, der ist hier ganz hervorragend aufgehoben!!!
