We stayed for two nights with breakfast. We were happy with everything except for the bathroom which did not have any partition in the shower so the water splashed around and wetted the toilet paper and reached even the flooring in the room. The sliding door to the bathroom is for no obvious reason made of glass and is semi-transparent, which is not very practical. The room door lock was seriously damaged, which was not safe but we did not mind it very much because all the guests in the surrounding rooms were in the same group with us. The terrace is communal for four rooms on the first floor. I cannot see why they do not put at least a very simple partition between them so as to avoid the feeling of being unsafe and exposed to peeping end being seen through the curtains at night. Nearby is the waterfall worth seeing with tickets for visiting. We went early in the morning and there was no one at the entrance.

One night at the Torrenerhof was relaxing. This hotel seems to cater more to families with it's all-inclusive plan. Dining for guests on this plan included breakfast and dinner buffets. We ordered from the menu and had a decent meal. Breakfast the next morning was nothing special, but it could be a good affordable option for families. The Golling Waterfall is a short 10 minute walk from the hotel. We had a difficult time finding the hotel because of road construction in the area. But once we turned off the auto navigation and followed the street signage, we were fine.

On Monday, August 16, 2021, we reached the Torrenerhof country inn in Golling at around 4:00 p.m. After checking in we got two double rooms in a house about 100m above the inn. We could live with that. With dinner at 6:00 p.m., something unimaginable for a normal person began: the table was not cleaned. We had to pick up the drinks ourselves 2 rooms away. Everyone had to let their drink out of the machine themselves. There was nothing to disinfect. You had to clear away the dishes yourself so that the other guests had space. The leftovers had to be tipped into a container and the dishes placed on the trolley. This garbage truck was in the dining room. After 9:00 p.m. we had to move into a well-covered but cold anteroom. For breakfast we had to get coffee and other drinks ourselves. Dinner at 6:30 p.m. was the pinnacle. We wanted to sit down at a table. However, this was only possible if we cleaned the table surface from the previous guest ourselves. When we went to the buffet, 4 containers with food were already empty. We and other people reported this to a member of staff. The first container came after 30 minutes and it took 1 hour for most of the food to be available again. By now the side dishes were only lukewarm. When the head of the house was asked when the 3-course menu would be available (which was specified in the adverti*****t), he answered: "I'll specify that and if there are many people there, then there will be no menu .” The next morning at 0830 the same thing again. We had to clean the table from the people who had already eaten beforehand so we could have breakfast. It was just gross. Now the time had come when we had to leave these homes. (08/18/2021 at about 10:00 a.m.) This is not accommodation in a country inn, but in a poorly managed home. Not even the most basic hygiene regulations were observed here. There can be no question of compliance with the Corona regulations. If the premises are already managed like this, how is the condition in the kitchen???? Those two days were a nightmare. Before leaving, I called the health department in Salzburg. They informed me that I should report it in writing to the health department in Hallein. I have already done this so that a possible corona hotspot can still be prevented. In a normal inn we are served. (at least the drinks) We are disappointed and I am still considering whether I should also forward these lines to the press so that others are spared this experience. Two days of frustration and having to leave the day before.

Elke dag propere handdoeken, kamer gekuist.
