Alexander the Great Beach Hotel

I can only speak most highly of the place and the staff. They are honestly the best coming from reception and going throughout everyone and everything. Viki, Zouriko, Maria and Giorgos thank you very much for being so friendly, kind, approachable during our stay. I appreciated all the hospitality. 1000% recommend- I will be back to you myself.

I was in this resort as a guest but also as a trainee during an Erasmus period, the environment is magnificent and those who work there are very loving, plus the facilities are in excellent condition and the experience was perfect, I recommend it to everyone.

I spent a second visit here because the first visit last year was so enjoyable. I had a single room this time, which was obviously not as nice as the double room that I had previously, but I still had a terrific holiday. A previous review likened the buffet restaurant to a school canteen - he must have gone to a very expensive school! Breakfast, for example, offered a selection of cheeses, cold meats, salads, cereals, croissants, breads and pastries, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon, sausages, cooked vegetables and a hot station to cook eggs to order. It's hard to think what else one might want to eat. The hotel is not high-end luxury, but is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It's located on the best beach I've been to in Greece - check the website pictures. It's a very secluded place, about 30 mins walk to Kriopigi, and would suit travellers looking for some quiet relaxation. It all has the a**osphere of a family-owned hotel. I would recommend half or full board, as village restaurants are a fair distance away. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Jet2 can organise many excursions/day trips. If I had to nit-pick, the bathroom door couldn't open fully, the shower curtain was so small I had to leave it open, and the minibar fridge was completely inaccessible as there wasn't enough space to open the door. These are minor points. I had a great holiday!

We recently stayed at Alexander the great hôtel for our honeymoon, and we cannot thank the staff enough for their exceptional hospitality. From the reception team to the restaurant staff, everyone was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make our stay special. A special mention goes to the hotel manager, who personally made sure every guest was happy. He frequently checked in on us, ensuring we had everything we needed and even going the extra mile to make our honeymoon unforgettable. His humble and attentive demeanor truly made a difference. The hotel itself is immaculate, with a warm and friendly a**osphere. We made friends with both the staff and fellow guests, creating memories we will cherish forever. The buffet was outstanding, offering a wide variety of delicious and organic options. The fact that the hotel is eco-friendly is a huge plus for us. Additionally, having rented a car made everything accessible, allowing us to explore the entire region with ease. We were able to visit all the local attractions and enjoy the beautiful surroundings at our own pace. We highly recommend Alexander the great hôtel to anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway with great food. We will definitely be returning.

Well just coming to the end of our week, had a great time. Think the last review was a little harsh. The hotel is set on the best stretch of beach on this coast! Believe me we walked the whole length! It is truely amazing, and great if you struggle with walking , having a lift down to the beach makes it easy. no other hotel has such a great facility. The hotel - you can tell it’s the beginning of the season, staff are new and in training and maybe not quite confident yet, we have to say they are trying and the lady coordinating it all works her socks off to make sure they get it right!! Not many guests as yet so maybe breakfast should be to order rather than a buffet style! With so few quests this is such a difficult thing to coordinate and never more than 10 people at a time having breakfast, meaning food may be stood. I understand things would be totally different at high season. The rooms are perfect and the staff do an amazing job of keeping them cleaned daily. Beds comfy and balcony furniture great really comfy to sit and chat or play cards. All staff are helpful and polite and are very young so just need time to gain confidence in the roles. We didn’t really drink or eat at the hotel apart from breakfast. The drinks seemed pricey so we walked into town. This was about a mile up a busy road so not ideal for young families but ok for us. The hotel has so much potential and would love to see it in a few months hopefully the small things will be ironed out and have a little more a**osphere . Bus access right outside the hotel takes u either direction but not very frequent we. We managed a trip every day! We lived our week so Thankyou xx

Sold as a 4 star hotel but it’s more like a 2. The room and amenities are in a state of dilapidation. Food is awful. It’s like a school canteen. Air conditioning doesn’t work. Mattress is of such poor quality you are unable to sleep. Have complained to management but nothing was done. Save your money and your holiday by booking somewhere else.

Lovely clean hotel right on the beach. Staff friendly and helpful. We stayed B&B and walked to next village or taxi to nearby other villages to experiebce local cuisine and culture. Shame 80's night and Reggae night at the hotel just consisted of changing the music in the bar. Gyros amazing

There are many reasons why we persevere and always choose this location, fiercely I could say. Because we always felt extraordinarily good, from all points of view. After a year of work and school, we seek complete relaxation to recover both physically and spiritually. When we want to determine the future destination for summer vacation, we honestly gave up looking for anything else, invariably the decision comes quickly, we go home to Greece, we go home to Dimitrios, Nonita, Pavlos, Zouriko, Konstantina and all the other friends from Alexander the Great. Why Alexander the Great? First of all, because of the wonderful people, then because of the special hotel conditions, because of the extraordinary meal services, not least for the award-winning Blue Flag beach, and why not admit it, for the special offers received year after year. "Best value for all my money" is what I look for in the purchases I make, it is what I have always received at Alexander the Great. I would be crazy to throw my money in a place where I don't feel well, where everything is not ok for me and my family. Because we love Alexander the Great, because we are welcomed with warmth and friendship, because we enjoy the wonderful Greek cuisine, for the tranquility on the beach, for the crystalline Aegean Sea, for the sunrise caught from the balcony in an unforgettable view, there are as many reasons to return year after year to this paradise. And why not admit it, we always come back with pleasure and thanks to the offers we received year after year. Special price offer for the entire package of services, accommodation with half board, internet and beach set for the three of us. I gave up long ago the so-called offers from different travel agencies, I had the unpleasant surprise to receive a price 65% higher than what I had already paid by booking directly at Alexander the Great, I received a super offer from a famous travel and reservation site, offer with double price compared to what I had already paid directly at the hotel. Why these huge price differences required for the same services? For us as tourists, these agencies and sites have long lost clients. The hotel was nice and the facilities were good at the pool, restaurant and on the beach. Unfortunately, I bought some gyros from the beach bar on the first day and was ill for three days, the food area was uncovered and had flies on it. I complained but the hotel did nothing.
