If you're looking for an "authentic Hawaii experience", you MUST go to Lumeria!! From the Plantation House to the lush grounds, with a super-comfortable Room (that gives a nod to period pieces, but with the luxury of today's bath!), the experience here was amazing. Laid-back and quiet (if you want crowds, go down to the large hotels), we enjoyed the pool and small-class activities they offer (try the "sound bath"), and loved the patio dining... All-in-All, we truly enjoyed this place. And perfectly located for the best this Island offers. We'll be back!! Bonny & Ron

Sheets, and towels were not clean and had stains. As did all the furniture, both inside and outside of the room. Both my friend and i were itchy every time we slept in the bed and on every single piece of furniture outside the room on the property, it's COVERED in bugs or bird poop. Even the plates and cultery for food, stains and marks on all that too.

Wellness retreat away from hussle This is an amazing place if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of regular hotels. Please note that there is no TV in the room which was exactly what I wanted. This is a wellness retreat hotel that offers two classes, a day included in the price of the booking . They range from ukulele lesson, to hula dances, yoga, and chi gong lessons. The breakfast is quite nice, you can pre-order lunch for the next day if you like however the restaurant is only open twice a week at this point. The food at the restaurant is exquisite.

Lumeria it’s such an amazing experience. There is such a Zen feeling when you walk in and the grounds are beautiful. The service is friendly and you feel like you are in another world away from the real world. I would highly recommend the area and I wish I had more time to spend there so we could take some of the classes that they offer during the day… this is a place for refuge and a place to get away from it all!!

This place has wonderful reviews, however here are a few things that aren’t pointed out. Needs TLC, mold on outdoor cushion and furniture, very weedy, needs attention in the lawn area, spider webs everywhere, cats running around( going in and out of restaurant) needs general upkeep of buildings. It reminds me of a camp environment. Good location if you want close to Paia.
