david’s eggs benedict is divine but it’s elizabeth’s warmth, humor and many talents that make the Pebble Bed & Breakfast an exceptional experience. the rooms are luxurious and comfortable and the breakfasts are scrumptious. they both give excellent recommendations as you plan your time in Nova Scotia.

What a fantastic experience! Liz and David are such incredible hosts. Amazing breakfasts. Great recommendations as to what to do and where to eat. The warmth, the humour and the overall vibe I don’t think we’ve ever experienced in decades of travel. We came away feeling like we’d just been with a couple of new friends rather than being hosted in a BNB. Cannot recommend a stay here highly enough!

The Pebble is an exquiste B&B set in a quiet,tree-lined street with lovely bay views.No detail is spared within Elizabeth & David's welcoming home.You feel at ease the moment you step into their immaculate, inviting B&B.We stayed 3 nights enjoying delicious and varied breakfasts and complimentary port each night. But what I remember most is our morning conversations over freshly brewed coffee & the warmth,humour and authentic,hosptality of our wonderful host Elizabeth.She is the jewel that is The Pebble.

This Halifax B&B is the ultimate in bespoke elegance. A mix of stunning original art, refined pottery and colorful linen line every inch of the historic home. Think warm hues, silky Frette linen, and Molton Brown bathroom amenities. And then there’s the owner, Elizabeth. As Irish as Guinness, a straighter shooter you will not find. She has the stories, the one-liners and a full repertoire of self-deprecating humor - a perfect foil to her own refined brand of luxury. The result is an intimate vibe without any of the stuffiness that so often accompanies five-star lodging. Gem of a place.

A wonderful B & B. From the moment we entered the house we felt welcome. The breakfasts were scrumptious and the coffee delicious every morning! Liz and David are kind, helpful and friendly hosts. The B & B is also a pebbles throw from the Atlantic Ocean. We definitely plan to return. The Pebble is a true gem in Halifax

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Pebble. Liz, our warm and engaging host, made us feel comfortable as soon as we walked in. She served us tea and the most wonderful scones at her kitchen table and then asked us if we had dinner plans. It was late in the day, and we confessed that we didn’t have plans, so she instantly offered a suggestion. Within minutes, we had a plan for our evening and a dinner reservation. Liz gave us a unique way to see Halifax and also facilitated one of the best meals we’ve ever eaten. (And it wasn’t at an expensive restaurant!) The Pebble is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, but it’s also a convenient 30-minute walk to downtown. It’s also a beautiful home filled with lovely paintings from a local artist ( the gallery where Liz bought is another easy walk). Our comfortable room contained a luxurious bed and an expansive bathroom with a large tub, a fantastic shower, and a vase filled with fresh peonies. Our visit was made even more memorable by Liz’s stories. Don’t miss them! If we ever make it back to Halifax, we’ll be booking another stay at The Pebble.

We began our first trip to Nova Scotia with Liz at The Pebble, and were very fortunate to have her and the house all to our ourselves at the beginning of the season. We couldn’t have been happier. The art and decor were stunning, and Liz made delicious breakfasts accompanied by plenty of local information and great conversations each day. Our 4-night stay in the Armview Suite was very comfortable and we enjoyed walks in the neighborhood and days out hiking and sightseeing. We wouldn’t hesitate to return for another stay.

This is a gem. A meticulously designed and curated home that is kept scrupulously clean and welcoming by hosts Elizabeth and Dave. Our room on the 3rd floor was private, comfortable, and had a lovely bathroom and shower. Our breakfast included yummy oatmeal, freshly baked scones, and a delicious house coffee blend. Elizabeth is charming and has all the time in the world — both before and after your arrival — to share dining recommendations, suggestions for hikes and cultural visits in Halifax and beyond, driving directions, stories, songs, books…we were sorry to tear ourselves away a full 90 minutes later than our planned departure times! Many thanks for a perfect stay!
