Upon arrival and picking up keys for a Jr. King Suite, we went to our room and noted significant water on the floor of the bathroom. I returned to the front desk to report issue and asked to be re-assigned to another room. Front Desk person took immediate offense to my request, insinuated we caused the issue, then said she had to "downgrade" our room to a regular King room since we booked through a third party. I replied that I had heard up bumping up customers when there is an issue but never downgrading them without some consideration. Reported the issue to the Hotel Manager in the morning, and once again was treated somewhat rudely, and reminded she couldn't do anything since we booked 3rd party. Have stayed here 6-8 times over the past 18 months due to recurring business in the area and normally things go well. Guess we'll re-think our options moving forward. Staff does not seem well trained in client service when things go off-schedule. Construction/remodeling going on in hotel and property is not currently in "prime condition". Worked partial refund thru third party, but things really did not have to be that hard.
