Constance Halaveli

We spend our 7th Maldives Holiday with Constance Halaveli, staying 17 nights from August 31st until 17th of September. Our expectation was high looking to the great ratings of this resort and we compare to Hideaway Resort, Outrigger Maafushifaru (with both resorts we stayed twice), Amilla but not to Adaraan Prestige Vadoo - our first Maldives visit as the later clearly is two levels down to the other resorts. When we arrived we were somewhat pessimistic - I guess very much influenced by bad weather during our first two days but than we got lucky and had great weather and a fantastic holiday experience until we left with a strong desire to return to this wonderful place which in particular stood out with an unbelievable high standard of hospitality, friendliness and customer service where literally every single employee was making this holiday an experience of its own. Not that other resorts don’t have friendly staff but the level we experienced at Halaveli was unmatched by any other place we have been traveling so far. Every single request or question which reasonably could be solved was immediately taken care of. Halaveli Customer Service: 10 points I normally do not mention staff, but here I make an exception: Chef Madan was simply unbelievable: the consistency of the food, the quick reaction on questions. Or Anna, who always took care of us finding the right seating arrangement, and even remembering that my wife loves salmon sashimi which is not on the menu but still was available without an extra charge or Jay from Sri Lanka cleaning our pool and Iray who mostly was my buddy during my 25 dives over there. The Island rating: 7 points It is quite small (15 minutes walking around), and is more or less entirely surrounded by wave braking walls and certainly is battling climate change, increasing sea levels and the challenge to keep the sandy beach not being washed away. It is a beautiful natural island but compared to Hideaway (10 points) or Amilla (10 points) or even Maafushifaru Outrigger it clearly falls short. On the other side Amilla and Hideaway belong to the largest islands in the Maldives both with a relatively small number of villas and hence offering long beautiful beaches with a complete feeling of Robinson Crusoe kind of loneliness and hardly or none wave protection walls in the sea. House Reef rating: 6-7. the house reef is very basic, limited corals only slowly recovering and clearly falling short to Maafushifaru 9, or Amilla / Hideaway both with a 8 plus. Having said that, I was positively surprised of what you can see with some luck. I was snorkeling twice. On the first day I saw 4 black tip reef sharks, on the last day I saw 2 black tip, two white tip sharks and two Mobula rays all together at one spot close to the SPA on the drop off after having snorkeling for nearly two hours seeing little to nothing. It’s hard to truly capture the feeling of visiting Constance Halaveli in words. Saying it feels like coming home doesn’t quite do it justice. While we’ve been fortunate to stay at many luxurious resorts over the years, none compare to the magic of Halaveli. From the moment you meet the Constance rep at Malé airport, you’re treated like royalty. Every detail is taken care of, and nothing is ever too much trouble. The experience begins in the exclusive Constance lounge, where you’re offered refreshments and a chance to relax before your seaplane transfer to the island. Arriving at Halaveli is simply breathtaking. The island’s beauty is almost surreal, true paradise. You’re greeted by a welcoming party at the jetty, and while this is a magical experience on your first visit, it becomes deeply emotional after several stays. The staff, many of whom we’ve come to know over the years, go out of their way to greet you personally, making every return feel like a heartfelt reunion. Some people might wonder if it’s possible to get bored on a small island, but the truth is, there’s so much to do! Whether you’re diving into crystal clear waters, enjoying activities on land, or indulging in fine dining, you’ll struggle to fit it all in. Judy and I especially love starting our day with a morning scuba dive, followed by a leisurely lunch, perfectly paired with rosé. While the stunning surroundings and world class cuisine are unforgettable, what truly sets Halaveli apart is its people. We’ve never stayed anywhere where the staff are so warm, genuine, and caring. Their kindness creates a sense of belonging that’s difficult to put into words. Having visited five times already, we’re counting down the days to our next trip!

My wife and two children (6 and 7) travelled to Constance Halaveli for 7 nights staying in a Family Beach Villa under the All Inclusive Package. We have to say that it made for a perfect first overseas trip for our children. The thoughtfulness of the facilities and the overwhelming level of kind service made all the difference in the world. Our strongest thanks to GM Tangi and his team for making us feel so welcome and creating such a peaceful time for us. Our special thanks to: Wait staff Gasim, Shakir, Hassan, Khaleel and Anna for making each meal personal and joyful Our housekeeper Gasim for being so accomodating of our children's occasional nosebleeds and variable daytime schedules! Hesh from reception for the warmest welcome Asela and Bandara from Jahaz Bar for the great humour and rapport with us Sameera the Food and Beverage Manager for always checking in Chefs Madan, Malith and Tapas for your amazing creations and being so obliging of our children's particular preferences. And finally the most amazing Gigi and Mahmoda from the Kids Club for building such a positive and strong understanding and connection with our kids and delivering them the best of times. My wife felt that her yoga and massage at the spa were the best experiences and setting she had ever experienced. We will be sure to return.

Just celebrated our third anniversary here this September and it was perfection, front desk, restaurants, spa, transfers, drinks, activities, everything was just perfect. Every single person who worked at this resort was friendly and very helpful, absolutely made our anniversary unforgettable. Andamino received us with such patience and joy, Zaheem and Roch served us at the restaurants and made us feel special, they even tried speaking Spanish to make us feel at home. Jay our pool guy made us laugh and helped us, even took some nice pictures of us because he saw us taking selfies. Each and a every employee we encounter made our stay unforgettable. Definitely will visit agin. And last but not least, even though it was rainy season, it did not rain one day. We had sunshine every single day.

The staff was very enthusiastic, especially Jay. He took a lot of beautiful photos for us. I was very happy. I like it very much here and left us a good honeymoon experience. If I have a chance, I will definitely come here again. The restaurant here has a good environment and is very clean and tidy. The food is not only beautiful in appearance, but also has a very good taste, and there are a lot of dishes to choose from.

Where do I begin, absolutely amazing from the moment you step out of the Male Airport and on to the Seaplane, the tropical journey begins. We arrived at Constance Halaveli with a welcoming party full of great energy, big smiles and happiness that lasted till the last day when you jump back into the sea plane with tears. It was truly a dream come true for me and my family. We have traveled many places with 2 kids and after visiting Mauritius last year, our expectations were very high with the Maldives and did it hit the spot. I have never been anywhere where the customer service is truly magical, the staff would do anything to go over beyond. A simple question to the staff makes all your doubts wash away. My son aged 8 is a very fuzzy person when he comes to eating just like most kids but the resturant staff made everything possible and my son was very happy everyday. I mean what hotel have you ever been to that would do this. I mean going the extra mile with a smile was what made this trip that special for us. So far for me, there hasn’t been a hotel that would do such a thing and most probably tell you what they have on the menu is all that they can provide. This was just one of many things that the hotel did to make the trip magical. The buffet restaurant both for breakfast, lunch and dinner was amazing, normal buffets we have experienced in the past either have limited food or are bland. This buffet was everything and alot more, to the point that you could quiet easily put on weight just by eating all the lovely food. They have themed nights every day which gives you a good variety of food, the deserts were never boring and always something that hit the spot. The dinners at both the la carte restaurants (Jing and Meeru) was amazing, we actually went there twice as the food was so good that you couldn't resist going back again The last thing to review and the best part of our trip was the staff who made it incredible. In all honesty the whole team were absolutely incredible but a few of the staff we created a great relationship with I must give them a big thank you for everything. we stayed in the water house for four nights ,jelly sea is really beautiful, and the butler Silvia is very good. Because of her fever, she brought us three kinds of medicine, which was really timely. The scenery is perfect for taking photos and is an excellent place for a honeymoon

After dreaming of traveling to the Maldives since I was a kid, this was a dream come true and it looked exactly like on the pictures you see in every magazine. The turquoise waters are just that turquoise, the beaches are exactly as white and the palms just as picturesque. We stayed in a water villa and even though the beach is gorgeous, the feeling of just jumping off your own terrace and into the water and then a dip in your own private plunge pool was magical. Sadly we did not participate in any water sports as the weather was a bit tricky, but we did snorkle and saw lots of colourful fish, sting rays and sharks outside our villa every day. Great gym, very nice spa. There are three restaurants that all offer a nice selection of food. To us the wine selection was probably the most spectacular offer as we both work with wine. To encounter a selection like they have at Halaveli was a fantastic surprise. The sommelier team is lead by Sree Menon, who is not only professional, but also very knowledgeable and eager to find the best wines according to your taste. I could have stayed another week just to drink more of these fab wines that you can hardly get anymore in other parts of the world! At least not at these prices.
