Hotel was is a great location and the staff were so helpful, let us check in at 7am after our bus, much earlier than the usual checkin time. The staff were so friendly and gave us some good tips on how to avoid extra fees at the national park and caves. There is a bike shop next door that is really affordable.
The only down side was there was a lot of noise from some nearby construction every morning from 7:30. This is obviously not the hotels fault.

Planning our trip slightly last minute during a holiday didn't give us a lot of options for hotels. We booked this place because it seemed like the best value. We only needed a place to sleep so it got the job done but I don't think I'd want to stay there for an extended period of time. Positives: Location was within walking distance of everything we needed to get to, breakfast was good, and the owners were friendly (however we didn't meet them until the morning after we arrived since we arrived late at night). Negatives: not the cleanest place, didn't have much in the way of amenities, and we couldn't get the AC to work.

I stayed at CatBa island hotel for 3 days and I have to say it was excellent, there are many services available including tour booking, bus and scooter rental. Phuong was very kind, present and very helpful. The hotel is in a good area and is not noisy, breakfast is basic and it is always clean and tidy. I definitely recommend it!!

There was a renovation going on next to the hotel, so we were accommodated in the neighboring hotel. It looks like one Hotel Sunrise. Everything is clean, comfortable bed, breakfast. Very decent.

Great hotel for your money! Very clean. A sweet and smiling girl at the reception, ready to help with everything. And she is understandable! English! We got a room with a huge panoramic window! Good breakfast - they offer several options.
I read reviews here from some “writers” - do you want a five-star hotel for $10 (including breakfast)?! Come down from heaven to earth.
To summarize: I liked it here, but you can turn a blind eye to minor shortcomings, such as a shabby faucet, given the price.
