Xuexiang Hotel

My recent stay at the hotel was absolutely fantastic! From the moment I checked in, the staff went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed, always greeting me with a smile and offering assistance. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and immaculately clean, with all the modern amenities I could ask for. One of the highlights was the hotel’s attention to detail—whether it was the plush bedding, the quality toiletries, or the complimentary coffee in the room, everything was thoughtfully provided for maximum comfort. The hotel’s central location made it easy to explore nearby attractions, and coming back to such a peaceful and inviting space at the end of each day was perfect. The on-site restaurant was excellent, offering a variety of delicious meals and a lovely atmosphere. Whether I was enjoying a relaxing morning breakfast or an evening drink at the bar, the service was always impeccable. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations, making my stay both enjoyable and memorable. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, upscale experience!

The hostel is nestled in a peaceful village, just a short drive from the snow village. It was a bit tricky to find at first, especially since we arrived late, but the owners were super helpful in guiding our driver. We booked a family room that can fit four people, and it’s clean with basic amenities. We were expecting to stay in a traditional 炕, but it was just a decorative piece. The owners were incredibly helpful and friendly, accommodating our requests like even making supper for us, even though the chef had left. But the best part was the morning view! We even got to borrow a beautiful red flower blouse for a photoshoot.

While they are really nice people it is really a very basic room.. do not expect anything. Bring your toiletries becos they don’t provide except for one small disposable towel. The cost of the stay is quite high though but that was the rate in Xue Xiang area. They assisted in sending us back and forth from Xue Xiang back to the hotel location. However.. it is also required because there’s no other way too.

The homestay has no personal feeling. Like a backpacker lodge feeling. Bath towel not even given except a face towel size disposal towel. How to dry whole body? Lucky I have my own towel. Room is super small. I can’t open my luggage so I just took out the minimal stuff out to avoid the inconvenience of packing back after 2 nights stay. The outside area has lots of snow but no yard type of safe space for kids to play. Immediately outside the homestay is parking with cars & vehicle, so not safe for kids to play outside without worry. But owner gives free shuttle service to & from Snow Town which is about 10-15km away, a ride of about 15plus minutes. Just have to tell owner 30 minutes before u want to go, and she will make driver plans with almost certainty. Food is delicious at the homestay in-house eating place. Prices is ok & quite delicious. But note that u have to pay for own drinking water as it is not provided. But there’s a kettle there that u can go boil water anytime. I saw other homestays around that look more spacious & comfortable from outside. Some have yard area with snow that kids can play safely. This homestay is rather overpriced I feel.
