The reception counter is managed by the owner’s son (I believe it is a family business), who is in his 20s. He seems only interested in mobile games. When you make a request, he will ask you to shout for the cleaner auntie on the 1st floor. We booked a room for around USD 360.00 for one night. The room did not have air conditioning, did not provide breakfast, and did not even have a fan. We had to open the window (luckily, there was one) to allow cool air or at least some ventilation into the room. The room was considered clean but very small. The bathroom was flooded, and we believe the piping must have been blocked. We requested help from the cleaner aunties, but they only handed us a mop, so we had to mop the floor ourselves. For the price we paid, we could have booked a much better room outside Snow Village. I would suggest first-time visitors stay in Yabuli (e.g., a bungalow for 2 nights) and travel to Snow Village instead. With USD 360.00, you could book 2 to 3 nights in the Yabuli area, and you wouldn’t need to pack and unpack due to changing locations. Another bad experience was when the receptionist asked me to cancel my booking with Trip.com, promising a refund. Luckily, as a foreigner, I explained that it would be very inconvenient to get a refund from Trip.com, and they allowed me to continue the booking. However, I noticed the "boy" causing inconvenience to local travelers. In the end, the local travelers were forced to cancel their bookings and pay the hotel directly. This is a very unethical practice.
