Schumacher Hotel Haifa

Haifa|1.76km from Bat Galim Beach
I typically don’t leave reviews but we were so disappointed and I wish I knew this before booking…. We booked since the reviews were so high and I’m not sure how that is. We booked the suite so we can spoil ourselves (granted we have only a few nights w/o kids). For the price of the room: 1- it was pretty bear although that was not a big deal in my books (there is another hotel we booked down Ben Gurion I won’t mention for integrity reasons that generally was much cooler aesthetics and amenities wise). Bathrooms were tiiiiiny! 2- the toilet was dirty when we arrived! I cleaned it with disinfecting wipes and it had urine drops all over! I really can’t describe how gross that was. I would have still not complained to the front desk, cleaner was lazy, happens? 3- last straw was that the vent right above the bed where you sleep was full of mold! So essentially, operating the AC in any way would blow mold onto our faces while sleeping! The room was not cheap it was wayyy too high (by 200 at least) for what you get and we stayed at two additional hotels at the same price, whole different level of quality completely! The hotel manager Hila, offered a spa for free. This is NOT a spa hotel in any way and we had 0 time to do spa. We asked for a partial refund at least as it was too late to find a different hotel. Hila gave us 10% back on the FIRST night only which is beyond a joke! It literally felt like she is giving us the middle finger! Seriously?! I steered away friends from a booking here, you can find WAY better options then here just a block away!

Port Inn
4.3/56 Reviews
I write long reviews, but i hope this review will be helpful and informative. I chose the port inn because of the location, i am in the travel business i deal with hotels and hostels as a living. 1) location. literally five minutes away from Haifa Central Shmona Train Station and the passenger terminal from the port. It sits just off the main road, to pick up a bus. Its ten minutes away, walking from the bottom of the Bahai Gardens and German Colony. Its a real hostel. As hostels here in the country improve ambience, organization, and style. Becoming more like motels rather than quirky enjoyable hostels. This one is still a real hostel with the eclectic collection of decor with a mainline stream of haifa's unique character as a city. A breakfast in the morning. A small but good functioning kitchen. A tv longe room. A garden patio. A next door, parking lot (not free) and a next door laundromat. The toilets and showers are small but clean and perfect to either start or end your day with a hot shower. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are clean. But now lets talk about the magic. And that is owed to the staff. I arrived a little late for checkin. Its a small staff therefore, the hostels front desk closes at 22:45 (10:45pm). And i missed that time. But i ran into one the managers (i think), Zeev, who saved the day by getting me in. He said that for the comfort of his other guests is why he closes at 22:45. And i respect that. But he still got me in, so i could work the next morning. I returned back that evening in which i met another staff person, Marina. She helped me change my rooms form the emergency of the previous night. She helped me in the friendliest and professional manner. After i asked if the temperature in the room could be cooler. And she did. But then she kindly relocated me to a room that was empty and had better natural ventilation with the room's balcony and windows. And it was best that anyone staying in a hostel could ask for. The staff went of their way to store my luggage, get me in late at night, and relocated me to a dorm room that practically was a private room. The next day i asked Marina's advice about a place for dinner nearby (there is so much to choose from) and thanks to her had a great dinner with my favorite israeli beer at Mayaan HaBira. I will come back more often. You cant beat the prices, the location, cleanliness, and most of all the service from the staff who went beyond what was required from them. I strongly recommend the Port Inn when visiting Haifa.
Dan Carmel Haifa

The hotel is overall great and should be the best hotel in Haifa. Breakfast is very rich, there is a charge for the parking lot downstairs, the room has a balcony, facing the harbour, below is the sky garden. It was a lot of hours for us to wait for more than an hour in the afternoon. This is very uncomfortable.
Haifa Bay View Hotel by Afi Hotels

The hotel is well located, about 200 meters walk to the top of the sky garden. All rooms can overlook Haifa Bay at night, and the windows are large, but the hotel room facilities are slightly simple. The front desk attitude is relatively cold. There is a small parking lot (more than 10 parking spaces) in front of the hotel, free of charge. We arrived in January, the parking spaces are empty and there are many parking spaces near the hotel. The bus can reach the top of the sky garden, not far from the hotel.

Just a few floors with a couple of small lobbies. In one, there are several wicker chairs, private tables and a coffee machine, and from the other you can go out to a small balcony with the couple of chairs and a table too. We had an order for a room, but due to the fact that I did not pay attention to the check-in time, which I am not used to in other hotels, I thought I would have to wait/walk/make shoping near the hotel, but we were offered a smaller room, but already empty to use. Everything in room were pretty close to each other and fealt somewhat narrowed, but the discomfort was not felt. Quite a normal room, if you only have to rest/sleep from active festivities around the city. And the whole hotel was clean and well maintained. And it has pleasant easy style. People who work here were very friendly and polite.
Templers House Boutique Hotel

Friendly and helpful staff helped make this a pleasant stay. The location is in a nice walkable area with a bus stop right outside of the hotel. The bargan rate hotel is next to one of the best value restaurants in the area. The bed was comfortable and the air-conditioning worked well. Our room was up one and a half flights of stairs so not good for handicap people or anyone who has heavy luggage. We did not find out about the room with tea and coffee until the end of our stay. The port is nearby. We took a taxi from the train station but it is close enough to walk. Check our google maps.

This hotel is so beautiful , in such a great location, so luxurious, so well run, has such an outstanding breakfast, with such attention to every detail…I almost didn’t want to write this review and keep this AMAZING place all to myself!! Recently opened, this wonderful hotel will, I am sure soon be booked to capacity. We were lucky to have stayed there when we did on Jan 17,18 & 19 2023. The staff couldn’t have been more kind and solicitous, beginning with Yoni, Ruth Naomi, Khalid and the wonderful concierge who when he found out where we were going for dinner told the restaurant to cover our drinks!! The breakfasts are literally a feast for a king, the desserts are made in house and are AMAZING.. The decor and the Spa and the attention to detail in every room, made our stay in Haifa a truly luxurious experience. Finally being across the heavenly Baha’i Center was a priceless treat day and night!! Toda, Toda!!
