4 Monate nach unserer letzten Tour Anfang Februar waren wir jetzt zu Pfingsten wieder im Schanzenhaus. Die Begrüßung bei der Ankunft am Morgen war mehr als freundlich. Der Check Inn wurde schon durchgeführt, obwohl die Zimmer erst ab 15.00 Uhr bezugsfertig sind. Am Abend haben wir unser schönes und saubere Zimmer mit Blick auf das Schloss bezogen. Es wurden einige positive Änderungen vorgenommen. Glückwunsch! Das Frühstück an allen Tagen war wieder sehr schmackhaft aufgebaut und reichlich. Ständige Kontrollen durch das Personal und den Koch, ob alle Speisen ausreichend vorrätig waren. Über die Feiertage wurde jeweils ein anderes Büfett angeboten. Wir hatten uns für Samstag- und Sonntagabend zum Essen angemeldet. Alles reichlich und alles sehr lecker zubereitet. Auch die Nachspeisen waren sehr lecker. Ein großes Dankeschön an den Chefkoch und seinem Team. Insgesamt sagen wir, es war ein schönes Pfingstwochenende. Leider zu kurz. Danke Euch allen. Wir sehen uns spätestens zum 2. Advent 2022 wieder. The positive thing was that the room had a terrasse and everything in the room was OK. The view from the hotel (but not our room) is great. The bad: The wifi didn't work. I asked one employee and she said; ”The wifi always works. If you can't get it to work, then YOU are doing something wrong” and then she left!!! Tried to talk to another staff member, but other than showing me the password, she couldn't / wouldn't help. The next morning it - as by a miracle - worked, without us doing anything. Talked to a 3rd employee (the manager?) when checking out, and he said that the staff doesn't know anything about the wifi, and showed me it worked. However, at the same time, the network to the credit card terminal stopped working... The trash can in the room smelled so badly from smoking/cigarettes I had to place it outside. Had to reserve a timeslot in the restaurant, even though it was almost empty (other hotels and restaurants in Germany simply asks you to fill out a form for Corona tracking purposes)... The room was very small.

Was meine ich damit? - Putz der auf Kofferhöhe aus den Gangwänden fällt - im Kühlschrank auf den Zimmern vom Vornutzer vergessen und nicht entsorgte Lebensmittel und Getränke - im besten Fall ein nur lauwarm aufgewärmtes TK Frühstück mit 90er Jugendherbergecharme - ein Spabereich in dem die Saunen nicht laufen, und seit 25 Jahren nicht mehr ein Euro investiert worden - Türen die nicht richtig schließen - unfreundliche Zimmerdamen, die einen quasi aus dem Zimmer schmeißen - Hundeurin Flecken in den Fluren ( ich weiß es weil unser gut erzogener Hund sich magisch von den Pfützen angezogen fühlte) - Der Blick aus dem Fenster erinnert eher aufgrund der notdürftig verlegten Dachpappe an Kabul oder ein Favela - Ausgebrochene 80er Waschbeton Treppenstufen vor dem Hotel, Vorsicht man kann leicht stürzen - Eine brutale überhitztes Zimmer, bei dem man die Temperaturen nicht runterregeln kann - eine unglaublich unfähige, unfreundliche und dabei noch dreiste Rezeptionistin die erst die Rechnungsumstellung nicht bewerkstelligt bekam und dann für die von ihr verursachten Verzögerung 100€ Late Check Up berechnete - das hat das Fass zum Überlaufen gebraucht. Keine schöne Erfahrung für uns. Fazit: Selten so eine Abzockbude gesehen und dazu mit noch das unfähiges und unfreundliches Personal. So muss der Eingangsbereich der Hölle aussehen… eine absolute Katastrophe, bitte das Hotel meiden, einer der wenigen Ort wo ein Atomschlag eine signifikante Verbesserung wäre…

We already reserved a hotel room for one night at the above branch through the official website on the day of July 06, 2020 and arrived there on July 09, 2020 at around 9:30 a.m. to check in and at least drop off our luggage and find out about the to inform the city. However, the receptionist informed us that she could neither check us in nor accept our luggage, let alone use the toilet in front of the reception. According to her statement, we have to understand that all this is due to the limited opening hours, which however were not mentioned anywhere on the website and booking confirmation of the above hotel. She confirmed this missing information (as of 10:00 on the same day). We were therefore in vain on the way from Braunschweig's main train station to the hotel and had to lose time and travel costs unnecessarily. The receptionist mentioned also said that we had only reserved the room but not yet paid the fee and that the reservation was only valid from 2 p.m. Therefore, we would not yet be hotel guests and would not officially have permission to stay in the entrance area and check-in would also only be possible at 2 p.m. So we didn't get a city map - until we asked them for this - nor did we get any further, alternative information about our extremely helpless situation and information about where authentic restaurants in the city are located. We understand that the Corona pandemic will result in some changes in hotel operations; however, we would have wished, as a guest in the B&B hotel, to experience more understanding, courtesy and hospitality on our trip, as we already knew from another B&B branch in Göttingen, for example.

Our stay at the Regiohotel am Brocken was super! We arrived at the hotel on the evening, where we were also expected at the reception and were warmly welcomed. In the room there was nothing to defect, breakfast was also good. Only the parking situation around the hotel was a little nervous because there are no registered parking areas and some other hotel guests think that then you can park so generously that other guests can then get (may) place problems. But: Have all worked well at last :-) We're happy to come back and have felt good and safely lifted up there.

I am very happy with my stay. The staff very obviously very well trained and pre-coming. Directly in the city center is perfect if you want to go out of the city or to go out in the evening. There are some hotel parking places behind the house. At the reception, I was told you to log in if the hotel parks were all placed, you would find a solution. I'd like to come back

The small hotel has surprised us pleasantly. We had the smallest room (tornfalke). Very clean! There was a water cooker available, tea and two bottles of water were ready. Breakfast was very opulent. The staff is very friendly and welcome. The only small swelling was a bed that was quite noisy. We would always like to book here, because the price-performance ratio has certainly fit.
