This is a modern boutique hotel with comfortable furnishings, a great shower and nice options for drinks or a meal in the restaurant on the ground floor. I thought the bed was comfortable as I like a softer bed but my wife thought it was too soft. We had the spacious "Chocolate" room, though the bath in the middle of the room is a little odd. Staff was pleasant and we'd stay again if we have the chance.

Check-in/Check-out: 5/5 You actually enter the restaurant and are greeted by very friendly staff who will explain everything and will even give nice recommendations for navigating the city and show it on a map. 2. Rooms(cleanliness, amenities, technology, etc.): 2/5 We had the bigger(est?) room and it was awesome! Very spatious, separate bedroom and a GREAT shower you don’t want to get out of. You open large windows and the whole square is in front of you. No ability to cast phone to TV. The biggest issues were the pillows. They were BAD. Not comfortable at all. 3. On-premise restaurants: 4/5 We had a la carte breakfast here, and it was ok. 4. Pool area: n/a 5. Service:5/5 Overall weighted score: 4.0 out of 5.0 Notes: 1)If you do need to park your car, go to Hilton, they have 24hr parking in their underground garage. Otherwise, street parking is hourly. Would we come back? Yes if the pillows are upgraded.

Nobody offered to carry our bags up or down. The stairs are very, very difficult, with or without bags. The bathroom door is a "barndoor style" that slides on a rail, doesn't close completely and is very noisy. Otherwise the room was big and the area was nice. Peace Palace is very close.

Fabulous small hotel on a lively square just a few minutes walk to all attractions. Room was across the square in a new development and was light and modern with fabulous views of the square. The rooms in the annex have steep stairs and no lift but the hotel staff carried our bags up for us and then collected them at check out, Hotel bar/ restaurant/ cafe is a great spot, either to sit on the terrace or inside. Breakfast is relatively simple but high quality and reasonably priced. Staff were all friendly, welcoming and helpful. No parking but they have agreements with a number of nearby secure parking garages and the hotel made all the arrangements for us, as well as sorting out payment for our street parking when we arrived. Will definitely return the next time we’re in The Hague.

This was perfectly located, great room and the manager/ owner(?) of the hotel was very friendly and helpful. After staying in 5 high-end hotels across Belgium and the Netherlands this week, La Paulowna topped our list. If we find ourselves back in Den Hague this will be where we stay for sure!

We stayed here during a birthday get away just after the decreasing COVID measure in the Netherlands and in the middle of February storm Eunice. The hotel has a great location close to the city centre but also to the Piet Heinstraat - with a great coffee bar! We walked a lot while parking our car at a free spot nearby - an excellent tip from the hostess. We were welcomed very friendly and warmly. Immediately received a lot of tips and were invited to our room. We had a smaller room this time at the Third floor (2e verdieping). Very nicely decorated but less spectacular than for example the Emerald room. Great place to stay!

Prachtige plek in Den Haag. Op het mooie Anna Paulowna plein vind je het karakteristieke pand met restaurant en kamers. Het restaurant en hotel worden apart gerund maar sluiten naadloos op elkaar aan. Online vlot gereserveerd en de communicatie verloopt zeer soepel en geheel geautomatiseerd verkrijg je alle benodigde info en tips zoals waar te parkeren. Entree via het gezellige restaurant en we worden zeer vriendelijk ontvangen voor het inchecken. Bij het inchecken word gelijk gevraagd of er meegedacht kan worden of dat we tips nodig zijn voor ons verblijf in Den Haag. De kamer is zeer netjes, kleurrijk en bevat alles wat je nodig kan zijn. Er is keus uit verschillende kamers met allen hun eigen karakter , kleurpalet of grootte. Doormiddel van een cijfercode toegang tot de kamer dus geen sleutels of kaartjes die je kwijt kunt raken. Koffie zetten op de kamer is mogelijk en op de gang is een minibar beschikbaar. Mooie hoge plafonds en een traditioneel trappenhuis. Af en toe kraakt er een vloer maar voor de rest erg rustig en geluidsarm, enkele opmerkingen zijn het zachte matras en de dikke kussens maar dit is ook erg persoonlijk. De aanwezige producten in de badkamer kunnen ons niet bekoren en ruiken niet erg lekker maar schijnen wel milieu verantwoord te zijn. Dat zou beter moeten kunnen maar dat is een detail. Het ontbijt word geserveerd in het restaurant wat met lunch en diner flink vol zit wat wel een goed teken moet zijn. Ontvangst is zeer vriendelijk en alle tafels zijn gezellig gedekt inclusief een kaarsje en echte verse bloemetjes. Heerlijke koffie en de ontbijtitems worden aan tafel uitgeserveerd en zijn zeer goed verzorgd. Heerlijk wakker worden op deze manier, al met al absoluut aan te raden.
