Senshunraku

Very traditional Japanese hot spring hotel, I like it very much! The dinner is very rich, delicious and authentic, and the service is warm. The hot spring is very comfortable, clean and sanitary, and the temperature is suitable. Breakfast is only Japanese, no coffee, no bread, no juice, which foreigners may not like. Like 👍!

I stayed here on the last day of the long weekend in mid-January. There were few guests, so I was able to relax in the large bath all to myself. The building is old, and it reminds me of the good old days of Japan. When I entered, I was surprised by the high ceiling of the lobby. The Hagi ware, antiques, and armor exhibits in the building were also wonderful. Meals were served in private rooms, and dinner was very satisfying, focusing on local fish dishes. The service was also polite, and I was very satisfied with my stay at the hotel. The beach is right in front of the hotel, so you can easily go for a morning walk. The staff said that there are probably many guests in the summer, but it feels lonely in the winter. But I think this is a hidden gem! There seem to be few foreign tourists in Hagi town itself, and it seems that there are not many customers who can come all the way here. Hagi Castle Town is also close by, so you can easily go for a walk. If you visit during the season, the camellia forest at Kasayama will be beautiful. I would like to come again in the summer.
