Back in 2020 we had amazing time here at Mirabell and decided to come back, however this will be the last time. The hotel spa is huge and really nice, some of the rooms are great, however some are super dark and inefficient ( if you like day light avoid Sonnen Chalet - it’s absolutely dark!) We booked spontaneously for 3 nights and from the beginning we said we wish to stay for 4, sadly there was no room available. Luckily on our way to Mirabell I received an offer via email to extend which I confirmed via phone immediately. Great! After arriving I wanted to check all the details rooms etc, however I’ve been told that the offer I received was not really an offer but “an option” as another client wanted to take 2 days to confirm if they will take the room? Even though I confirmed that we take the room confirmation was not possible because apparently they waited for someone with higher priority to confirm. Very nice way to treat your guests. The weather is quite nice so we decided to take breakfast outside - tables are prepared but there was no service outside for us - no one asks for coffee or even bring cutlery, however if another table decided to come then eventually someone passes to ask “all good with you?” Yeah all good, thanks for checking on us after an hour! Same applies for the pool - there is no way to order something at the pool, you have to go one floor up and pick up your drinks/food for down. Same as well for the terrace full of people around noon - no service available at all. If you want something you have to go inside and kindly ask if possible someone to give you whatever. Another ridiculous thing that happened - the turn down service. We travel with the dog quite often and we never had any issues with room cleaning or turn down service. On our first evening I put the sign for turn down service and left the room with the dog for like 2 hours. When I came back the room was still not ready, so I left the dog in the room. After 3 hours we came back and guess what - the room was still not cleaned. When I asked the reception why no one could tell. After some internal investigation the reception realized that they can’t clean the room if the dog is inside. Ok, I understand that, but why no one said that? All I’ve been told is that the dog costs extra 35 euro per night but no one thought of telling me that for 35 euros extra I will just receive less service! Disappointing. Ok, no turn down service but I needed new towels which reception promised immediately. 30 mins later I called and asked them to leave the towels because I already wanted to sleep. Real 5 stars… The day after I asked to speak with the management who basically told me that’s all normal, no service outside before 1st May even though the hotel is fully fully booked, he told me all my comments are basically invalid and was quite rude. Nice! So in the last minute the hotel got cancellation and suddenly there was available room for us, however we needed to move.
