I can only say that this hotel is really great.
Mainly because most hotels in Northern Europe are relatively old, this one is very new and has a great design. The city is a niche tourist destination in Lofoten, and Chinese people are rarely seen there. I paid extra to book a sea view room with a balcony, which was really worth it. I saw the aurora on the balcony🤭

Contemporary hotel with very comfortable rooms, great breakfast buffet and a fantastic location right on the water. We also booked the sauna right next to the hotel for an hour, which was a nice experience. The bar area is cosy and they even have a shuffleboard game, which is free to use. When we tried the hotel restaurant (twice) for dinner, it didn’t quite live up to standard of the breakfast and was perhaps a bit overpriced. The staff is friendly and helpful, but it would be great if there was some kind of concierge service that could recommend various hikes in the area and other local activities.

three major problems: 1. Table in my room was not cleaned ahead of my arrival 2. Coffee machine at the breakfast restaurant was out of order for the whole of two days of my stay 3. Hotel was unable to produce a receipt for my total payment. Still chasing it, six days later, making international calls from another country.
