The other corner was a quiet and tranquil escape. The rooms were lovely and big and the grounds were beautiful. The manager and chef Amiz was the best part! He paid special attention to our every need and he organized beautiful Sunset dinners and a spectacular night Safari where we saw the clearest starry sky and an elephant! Chef Amiz's food was very tasty and his attention made us feel very special!

So tranquil and welcoming. Thank you chef Aziz and your wonderful team for a fantastic stay. Great food and fascinating visit to your organic garden. The grounds accommodation pool and restaurant were amazing. Nothing was to much trouble.

Exceptional experience with Amiz and all his wonderful staff. So peaceful and tranquil in a natural beautiful setting but the real treasure is the staff. Each and every one of them from the gatehouse to the gardener were all wonderful. Amiz is an amazing host and chef. His food was exceptional with each dish better than the last. All the dishes coming from his wonderful garden and cooked and presented to perfection. We loved every moment of our stay and would highly recommend The Other Corner

The front porch bench was a great place to pass some time in the early morning. The grounds are a birders paradise and Vikum, the on-site naturalist and snake aficionado was really fun to have along as we explored the grounds, the lake and the forest. I subscribe to the theory of forest bathing and The Other Corner was perfect for that. The room had plenty of space, lots of hot water for showers and as I said, that wonderful front porch. It is a great place to arrange a safari into the national park. The food was local, delicious and served with care. We tried a number of new dishes. We were birding and had a tight schedule but I will return here to luxuriate in the Sri Lankan outdoors.

The other corner was an amazing experience. Very cool cottage like set up with modern facilities. Beautiful and clean rooms and baths with AC. Wifi was working. Food was amazing especially all the Sri Lankan fare. Accommodations were made based on our sight seeing trips. The best part however is the service and management. They were even kind enough to pick us up from the station unprompted. Couldn’t recommend it enough to anyone visiting the area.

This is a wonderful place: comfortable and characterful lodges in lovely grounds just outside the well-located town of Habarana. The staff are friendly and look after their clients exceptionally well; the restaurant is very good, with the charming and unfailingly attentive Asela to serve you. Susantha took us on a marvellous bike ride round some nearby villages and lakes. It was an excellent way to experience the Sri Lankan countryside, to meet some of his friends, and to learn from his extensive knowledge of Sri Lankan wildlife and flora. He also showed us round the hotel’s lovely spice and herb garden. This has been a really high quality three-night stay, which we strongly recommend.

The place was amazing. The food was great and the atmosphere was remarkable. The staff were hospitable and welcoming, they took us on multiple nature walks (including birdwatching and walks though the organic gardens). There is plenty of things to do and nature to observe. Really recommend the place.

We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived.by all the staff, with every member we met greeting us and being friendly. We loved the peaceful, small resort and the rope bridge leading into it made it feel even more that we were going into nature. One of the staff members was always keen to share his animal findings with us which added to the experience. The choice of breakfast was excellent and there was a different four course dinner menu each night. The food was presented beautifully and was absolutely delicious. The resort was ideally located for the sights of Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa. The pool was also a pleasant extra to cool off in after a hot day’s sightseeing. We would have no hesitation recommending this lovely, hospitable resort.
