The Koggala Beach Hotel is more than just a beach hotel. Whether terrace or balcony, all of the hotel's rooms have a fantastic view of the Indian Ocean. The price-performance ratio is excellent for the size of the rooms and the beautiful, direct beach location. The decor with classic style furniture and warm colors create a familiar and pleasant atmosphere. The staff at the Koggala Beach Hotel are friendly, very helpful and courteous, for example when ordering a tuk-tuk for a sightseeing tour in the surrounding area, or even when changing money at reception when the banks are closed. The hotel offers a variety of meals in the restaurant. During my stay I was able to choose between a buffet and an a la carte menu. For breakfast, various types of bread, cakes, fruit and various Sri Lankan meals are offered. Coffee, tea and fresh juices are available. A nice chili omelette is a good start to the day. My recommendation for dinner: the fried fish with vegetable variations, a glass of sauce nicely draped in the middle of the plate. A beautiful, creative eye-catcher, because it's a feast for the eyes. It tastes delicious and looks good! The grilled chicken with chips and vegetables or salad is also recommended. So there is something for everyone's physical well-being. The surf on Koggala Beach can have strong currents, which is quite normal in Sri Lanka, you just have to be careful when swimming in the sea. If these waves are a bit too strong for you, you don't have to miss out on a refreshing swim, the hotel's own pool invites you to swim. The hotel is a good location for excursions to, for example, the turtle farm, the Dickwella Temple and the city of Galle. The Koggala Beach Hotel is suitable for groups, families with children and singles. This beach hotel creates a good symbiosis between a beautiful beach, culture and good value for money.
