Villa Kars

We enjoyed the ambiance as well as the room, which seemed to be the last one that had been available. Perhaps also due to the latter, there seemed to have been a problem with the plumbing in the bathroom, which was a bit disappointing. Otherwise, the location and a**osphere suited us very well.

I have stayed at Villa Kars several times and find the location perfect and a lovely historical property. If you want to visit Gymri and have a wonderful experience, then Villa Kars is the hotel you want to stay at.

Loved this hotel! This boutique hotel is absolutely amazing to stay at! It comprises of 2 buildings, both of different styles, but both beautiful and unique! this Art Nouveau treasure has a facade resurrected to its former glory in the "Armenian Belle Epoque" style and inside an appealing blend of old and new world! It reminds me of a European villa with the courtyard and the well in the middle, its so lovely to just sit around the courtyard with the trees and the running water, a very relaxing place to stay and enjoy

Location is great. Service and staff are excellent. Could be a bit more updated and clean. A security guard or a night watch would be strongly recommended for this location. My very last day, property had very loud and obnoxious guests. No one seemed to do anything about it. Need to manage who they rent out. Because they loose real clients over one guest. Very frustrating when you have to get up at 4am and shut other guests up so you can get some piece and quiet on your vaca. Very unfortunate that I had to see and experience how no one cared what type of guests they cater too. I could not go back to this place again.

I didn’t room , useless furniture, no refrigerator, some part of shower is broken. Terrible breakfast

Villa Kars is an authentic place in the heart of Gyumri. The location is fantastic with many museums and churches in a walkable distance. The rooms are unique, each has its own style and name. We stayed in the room named after Mush thus time.

I was excited that I will spend my weekend in Gyumri and we are going to stay In Villa Kars. But.... next time I will not choose this hotel, there was practically no service. The room Aram Khachatryan was spacious and furnished in the old way, clean. But the old cup board was filled with old blankets, there was a bad smell. The door of the bathroom doesn't have lock, the towels were smelling with bleach. It was impossible to use those towels. The breakfast was another disappoin**ent. Not tasty, one day or more old cheese sticks, the egg frittata was burned, low quality coffee.... For the price we have payed for local hotel, what we received was absolutely not value for money. We enjoyed the evening and morning in the inner courtyard, it was authentic and peaceful.

If you decide to stay in this hotel, make sure not to leave anything in your room. When we were staying there on February of 2022, at night I took off my earrings and put them on the table near the bed. In the morning we did quick check out as we're in hurry, so I left there my earrings and they refused to give me back them, saying that there were nothing left in the room. Moreover, later from the reviews I noticed that my case was not the only one. Be extremely careful when staying there or avoid at all.

no mini bar, no bathrobes, toothbrushes and toothpaste were brought when it was -17 outside, we went to the lobby and asked, because there is no telephone in the rooms to contact the administration. In short, there is no service, only a good interior and a high price per night is practically not for what.
