Hotels in Furong Ancient Town, Guzhang

It is 3 kilometers away from Furong Town Scenic Area. It is quiet in a bustling city and has a very good location. I am especially grateful for the service of the hotel butler. It makes me feel at home and very considerate. I upgraded the river view room for free, and I can see the panoramic view of the scenic area from the window. Five-star recommendation!

I made an appointment with a good friend to relax together on the weekend. A classmate had stayed in Erzhuo Valley before and said the environment was very good. The two of us came directly after get off work on Friday. There was a butler to pick us up after getting off the high-speed rail. The journey to the valley was also quite short. As a Cantonese, I really like Hunan cuisine. I had 5 meals in the past two days and was amazed by several dishes. I couldn't forget them after eating them! ! I also secretly asked what chef was hired here. The first one was spare ribs, which were fried with tea leaves 😍 It was really special and delicious! ! The second one was peanut sprouts. It was the first time I ate peanut sprouts. When it was served, I thought it was lotus root tips. The crispy taste was very good. The third one was the giant salamander that must be eaten here. I had two methods, hot pot and dry pot. The hot pot one was a bit similar to the crispy Anhui fish in Guangdong, and the dry pot one was more flavorful and fragrant. The breakfast was very nutritious, and there was also giant salamander porridge in it, which was very fresh and sweet. The itinerary for Saturday was to go rafting. There is a Mengdong River rafting nearby. I heard that it is the best rafting in the world. It is quite exciting. It is also my first time rafting. It is quite fun. I was a little tired after rafting. I lay down in the room to rest on Sunday morning. I also took a photo of the light and shadow. When I opened the curtains, I could see the endless green mountains. I planned to go swimming in the afternoon. There is also a very beautiful infinity pool in the second phase, but I made a mistake and forgot to put the swimsuit in the suitcase. I will make up for it next time. Cows and horses who are used to seeing high-rise buildings really love this original ecological environment and successfully get rid of the smell of work. I am already on the way back to Guangdong. I will record the beautiful memories of this weekend for myself.

We had a wonderful time staying at this hotel. The lady housekeeper was very friendly, and she offered to meet us at the drop-off point and brought us to the hotel within the Furong ancient town. We were grateful for the upgrade to the hotel room at the third floor where we had the view of the waterfall and river straight from the balcony in our room! Although our hotel room had no breakfast provided, we were offered bread, instant coffee and packet milk for breakfast the next day.

What should I say? Best accommodation so far from my current trip. Let's start from the location, right opposite the ticketing area, super convenient, the hotel itself has a very traditional look, small details with the ancient city vibe but modern facility, complete amenities, so very comfortable. Included local breakfast that so yums, and the people in charge, super accommodating! best ever compared to big cities. I got into an accident on the tour and they were really helpful! I am pretty sure that I will come back again. Super recommended!!

Very Nice inn with friendly owners. It is very well situated in the Ancient City. The owners can get you a 3 day pass for the city for a reduced price. We booked the twin room in december and luckily there is a heater to keep you warm. The view is incredibly beautiful and there is a cute little balcony. We would stay here again.

The lady boss provided clear video clips and photos of where she will be waiting and the direction for me to meet her at the pick up point outside the train station (prior to my arrival). The one-way pick up service is complementary as per hotel booking. A value added service provided by the hotel and lady boss. Other hotels did not provide such service. The hotel is at the center of the Furong Town main street, which is approx 300-400m from the entrance. It's very convenient to walk to any hotspots in Furong Town. The room is clean and comfortable. It's a modern design room type compared to my friend's other hotel room, which is a local antique design. The view from the room balcony was great especially at night, although it's not a waterfall view. My overall stay was great and satisfied.

Very nice hotel and located in a great location. The staff provide service with a service mind. Especially, thanks to the staff who provide pick-up and drop-off services us between the hotel and the high-speed train station. It's a prime-level service. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who visits Furong ancient town.

It's a pity that they were doing maintenance to the river in front of my room. Otherwise it will be absolutely perfect. This hotel is rustic with traditional ancient local decorations. It really gives you the mood and vibe being in an ancient town. The service is amazing. Friendly and pleasant staffs which will give you tips on what to do around here. They also provide pick up from the train station which we really appreciate. This hotel is located near the famous bridge. It is quieter this side. The square with performances is just 5 mins walk. The waterfall is about 10 mins walk from the hotel. No problem getting food nearby. There's a mini mart few steps away as well. The room aircond is good, WiFi and shower could be better. Great stay in a brilliant location, we booked the room with a balcony and it was great, very clean and had everything you need. Staff were very friendly and offered us a free drink upon arrival, tasty fruit on the second night, and took us to the train station. Couldn’t fault this hotel and would definitely recommend.

We visited during quiet season (Oct 7 just as golden week ended) and the hotel was practically empty. The owner called us and helped instruct the taxi how to get to the hotel. (It should be 20 yuan to get there via taxi from the train station). The entrance has not been finished building so you have to carefully navigate down some rubble. There also isn’t an elevator in the hotel. As the hotel was empty, the owner showed us 4 different rooms and was happy to let us have any of them at no extra charge. We chose one on the second floor so we wouldn’t have to climb the stairs with our luggage. The hotel is a 4 minute walk to one of the main entrances of Furong Ancient Town. With it not being directly in the town, it’s probably more quiet that other hotels in the area. The view is quite nice, on the left you can see Furong Ancient Town, on the right there is a lot of construction happening so not much to see. The construction was not loud during our stay. However there was a chicken next door that began making noise at 5am and didn’t stop for hours, it was excruciating. I won’t blame the hotel for this though! The bathroom amenities were great, the room was very spacious and comfortable and the owner was very kind.
