We are deeply dissatisfied with our stay at Sunpoint Family Hotel. We would like to warn others, especially young women, about the unacceptable conditions we experienced during our visit. My friend and I, aged 18 and 20 respectively, did not feel safe at the hotel. From the very first day, we were met with a series of discomforting incidents, where the male staff behaved inappropriately and crossed many boundaries. Their looks and comments, particularly when we were sunbathing or swimming in the pool, were far from respectful. The most shocking incident occurred one evening when a male receptionist verbally and physically assaulted my friend. His behavior was extremely inappropriate; he asked for a kiss, attempted to take a photo with her, and claimed he needed a "fertile" woman like her. My friend, frightened by his persistent behavior, tried to escape, but he chased after her, where she after that has bruise on her knees because he pushed her. This incident led us to involve the police. We changed hotels as this episode made it impossible for us to feel safe. It is unacceptable that a hotel promoting itself as family-friendly would allow such behavior from its staff. Their conduct towards young women is highly unprofessional and inexcusable. We wish to warn other young women and their families to think twice before choosing Sunpoint Family Hotel. No one deserves to feel threatened or unsafe, especially not on their vacation!

Just had two weeks at sunpoint hotel in gumbet and was very disappointed. Firstly let me say the hotel is in an ideal location and can be very picturesque. The hotel feels like the rooms are stuck in the early 90s when I used to go to turkey. The food was the real problem, the same stuff every day and always cold. The cooks ( Not chefs ) would bring the cooked food out about an hour before the salads ,so by the time you were allowed to eat ,the salad was warmer than the cooked food. It wasn't about being fussy as all the other guests we spoke to all said the same . We pay a lot of money for an all inclusive holiday and just don't think it was value for money. The room was very dirty , with a leaking toilet and dirty that we asked 3 times to get fixed , we had to ask for the room to be cleaned after the first week and when they did come round they didn't even change the bedsheets , just remaid it with same sheets. We know this because the sheet had a stain on from where I spilled a bit of sun cream. No hot water till the second week . Was just a shame as the staff are friendly do try to be helpful but I think the hotel itself needs a good clean and rooms upgraded. We will be going to gumbet again but not this hotel.

My son had money and cigarettes pinched from room. The food wasn’t nice. He had his son with him and had to force them to switch the slide on. His room wasn’t ready when they got there at 2.30am. So they put them in hotel next door and in the morning they were told to wait again for their room. They ate out a lot as the food was the same every day. They could also use the smart hotel next door. Which they told me was closed and moved me to the smart beach hotel which we had to get taxis every day to go and see out son & grandson

Do not go near this fly-blown ses pit. It is filthy dirty, moldy, full of rubbish, broken toilet, broken curtains, rude unhelpful staff and unsafe for female travellers. Clearly not as advertised, don't waste your money. The rep was not interested unless you were buying an excursion and no one else speaks English ( as stated in the hotel information).

The Sunpoint hotel Bodrum Let’s begin my tale it starts at the bottom of a very long staircase, to be fair it’s the first picture the hotel shows it should come with a warning , obviously I didn’t read the no lift comments. I am 56 pretty fit wife is 60 with asthma but after about 100 + steps to the room we was allocated I came to realise this hotel would be a challenge to one of them mountain goats, Sherpa Tenzing would have a resentment if he booked this place. The Hotel is 2 star or 1 at best how on God’s Green earth it’s Got four star rating on the trip advisor is anybody’s guess, that rating is about as likely as finding a real Louis Vuitton bag in one of the many designers outlets in bodrum. The hotel was stunning unfortunately wham was in the charts at the time maybe humans were fitter back in the day. The staff I think are held in the dungeons over night, in 7 days I think I almost seen one smile but it could have been a trick of the light. Food is salad eggs pasta, I did try some soup very tasty, but the wife want labels on stuff soup was labeled, and they did however label the meatball meat that’s available everyday in many different shapes, sometimes it’s with onions but you can not kid me. The coffee is ok but there’s only one machine often broken and that could do with replacing for one from this century . Hygiene is not the priority of this hotel, after an hour in our high rise five bed falling to bits painting broken furniture room, we discovered our feet were the Color of coal this was surprisingly strange because I only took my sliders off for a minute, on opening a few drawers to put clothes away I discovered the drawers are a kind of one way system they only open but closing drawers again wasn’t promised. The none existent safe deposit box was which would have been nice because the door locks are bit hit & miss. The free Wi-Fi is free because it only works not very well in reception. The shower is sometimes warm with like a Bellargio affect, in out up down, no music or lights but what-do you expect for three stars hehe hotel. we did manage to scrape the coal dust of our feet and of course there lots of cheap socks about after 5 days of sock wearing inside I am sure the floors changed colour. In summary i could fill up a book of stuff that could easily be sorted the gauntlet of staff busy doing nothing at every meal watching for some unknown reason. A few cleaning tips, bit of bleach in the toilets maybe, some cleaning staff maybe, one did turn up after many requests she brought towels cleaned the whole apartment in three mins flat looked exactly the same with towels . The dreaded stairs can not be changed, but the maintenance guy was busy trying to clean ( he’s not very good at it ) but he’s got his own book of stuff he could be doing instead. Some very dodgy electrical fittings which is obviously dangerous might be his first task. It’s just my review please visit for your own opinion don’t forget your grapplin

I wish I could give this hotel zero stars. From the moment we walked into our room, it was clear this place was beyond unacceptable. The room was filthy—there were visible stains everywhere, and it looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in months. The plumbing was a complete nightmare. The toilet was absolutely disgusting, caked in filth and barely functioning. The shower? Broken, grimy, and had clearly never been cleaned. We couldn’t even use it. The towels were stained and smelled musty, like they hadn’t been washed. The bed was the worst part—dirty sheets, and we even found bed bugs. Yes, bed bugs! It was a complete health hazard. To make matters worse, the hotel food was a joke. It was clear they were recycling leftovers and passing them off as fresh meals. We couldn’t stomach it after one bite. It was so bad that we had to leave and book another hotel on our first night. This place felt worse than a prison cell. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. Absolutely horrifying!

Absolute disgusting of an accommodation. TRIPADVISOR I strongly recommend the validity of their strong ratings. In my 18 years of travelling I have not seen a more prison like hotel. One night in we left and booked another accommodation which worse rating then this but 1000x better. People please do your proper research before booking.

The hotel is a disaster. No one expected luxury in a 3-star hotel, but even 3 stars for the technical condition of the rooms is definitely too much. Broken shower door, broken shower head, door handles that stay in your hand when you try to open the balcony. Despite reporting the defects to the staff, they do nothing about it. The tour operator had to intervene to fix the defects. You can't ask for towels from the staff (we were given 2 towels for 5 people at check-in), getting additional toilet paper was also a miracle (it's good that there is a SOK store right next to the hotel, we could buy our own toilet paper). The cleanliness of the rooms also leaves much to be desired. The food was tasty, but terribly monotonous, the same set for breakfast and dinner every day.

this place is only saved by the fact that relatively nice people work there and the fact that it is close to the bus stop to bodrum (there is one practically right through the hotel) but oh my. Generally, our adventure started nicely, the accommodation was successful, although we arrived at 4 in the morning. Apart from the unpleasant smell at the reception, we went to our room located at the very top of these stairs. Those who want to come here, consider this. we were assigned a room in which water was leaking from behind the wall unit, for which the hotel staff simply brought us more towels because they could not do anything about it XD. from this standing water the beds were ruined, because they were soaked with water from the bottom. in the bathroom there was mold, 1 air conditioner for 2 rooms + bathroom and repetitive gastro of questionable quality, which was left in easy access to flies, because it was centrally above the pool. if I could, I would give less then 1
