We came once last year, but we came again this year due to its location and peace. This year, breakfast was included in the price, and the breakfast was relatively good. The cleanliness of the rooms is not bad, there is a noise from the air conditioner in room 133, it is not possible to sleep.. the cleaning at the beach part is extremely poor, the sun loungers are quite dirty.. you keep looking for a bin to throw the garbage, when you get out of the sea, there should be a place to take a shower, we have to go to the room with all our sand. We are staying.. I hope a solution is found

The hotel is excellent. The staff are wonderful. Everything was done to make our stay perfect. Nothing was too much trouble. I have heard it said that the owner is rude, but this cuts both ways. If you say hello no-one ignores you. The cleaning staff also deserve a special mention. All in all 5 star rating in spite of the 3 star rating.

We travelled as a couple. On arrival we were shown to our ground floor partial sea view & pool view room. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean with the added bonus of a fridge. We walked down to the beach front the next morning & the view was amazing. I honestly could have spent our 14 days there, sitting watching the world go by. The cleaners come in to your room every other day with fresh towels & a bedding change & were kept spotless during our stay. Unfortunately the cleanliness stopped at our room. The pool side area was filthy & the breakfast room didn’t see a damp cloth the whole time we were there. The Hotel prices were very high, which meant for most of are holiday we were forced to eat out. Staff were amazing & so were most of the owners. This Hotel could be a little goldmine, but does need serious money & TLC spent on it. We are going to Turkey again due to the price hike, but if changes were made to this hotel I would definitely return

Stayed 10 nights at Gumbet Cove Hotel as two couples and it’s safe to say we would not return. We arrived late so went straight to rooms and to bed. Wasn’t impressed with rooms as outdated and things falling apart, shower wouldn’t hold on it’s own and would drip constantly all night (in each room we were in) and some mornings had to have a cold shower due to no hot water coming through. A/C unit in one room had liquid marks on the wall below it and looked like it had bird feathers sticking out of the bottom of it like a bird was trapped in it. We heard noises coming from the unit on different occasions until one night we came back and there was a huge cockroach underneath it trying to get back in it! We complained at reception and had to speak through google translate due to the guy on reception not understanding english! He didn’t offer to move us rooms so we packed up and stayed with our friends in another room! The next day we told the girl on reception and she was great with us, made a few phone calls and sorted us another room which felt better than the first one! The cleaners were lovely and cleaned our rooms every other day and gave us fresh towels. First morning we went to breakfast and we felt like walking out, barely anything to choose from other than scrambled eggs and water melon and when the eggs ran out they wouldn’t replenish them even tho breakfast didn’t finish until 10am. The beach area was nice but we spent most of the days around the pool which we enjoyed. However it was apparent that staff didn’t like us bringing our own drinks around the pool and would question why we didn’t spend money at the hotel when it’s triple the price compared to Bodrum! Some days we even got muttered at in Turkish with gestures towards us which we found very rude! The atmosphere could have been much better if music was played around the pool area but instead it was on and off constantly. It is in a good location, 5 minute walk into Gumbet and 10 minute taxi ride into Bodrum which is where we spent most of our evenings. Hotel needs a lot of improvements for people to feel comfortable here and want to return!

The staff are lovely, and will do anything for you. Tony keeps it all running smoothly in the restaurant and bars. Always room around the pool or the private beach area. The cleaners do a great job, cleaning rooms every other day. The breakfast is a turkish breakfast, I'm a fussy eater and love having bread and jam there for breakfast 😋. The rooms are basic but clean although the showers can be a bit hit and miss. The hotel may be 2* but the service and view from outside eating area is 5*, I have visited 4 times in 3 years and already book for next year. Everywhere in Turkey has gone up for food and drinks, but gumbet cove buy from reputable supplies, no knock off beer or spirits that some other local places use. If they don't have what you want Tony will go and purchase for you, you only have to ask nicely. Yes the outside does need sprucing up in areas but as a solo female traveller I feel very safe in this hotel.

Just home after a 2 week stay at this hotel. Lovely quiet location but still within walking distance to all bars and restaurants, taxi rank is a 2 minute walk away. Due to having walking difficulties I did find the hill down towards the hotel a bit daunting but I managed with the help of the hubby. The rooms are basic but very clean indeed, the maids were in every other day changing sheets, towels and cleaning the room. I had a hotel room so no cooking facilities but there is a fridge in the room which was a god send. My only negative about the room is the mattress was rock solid, felt like I was sleeping on the floor so I think they need to look at all new ones. Food and drinks in the hotel were quite pricey so we didn’t really use these facilities on an evening although we did have soft drinks and snacks at lunchtime most days. The pool area was clean and there was always sunbeds available but they also have a private part of the beach with quite a few sunbeds so either can be used. One downside of the pool is the only way in/out is via 2 sets of metal steps which for anyone with mobility issues it would be difficult to use, I found it easier to get than get out but again with the help of my hubby I managed. The staff were very pleasant, the young ones didn’t speak much English but they would always say hello, I just need to say tho that one member of staff (TONY) was an absolute star, he went above and beyond to make sure everyone there was well looked after and made to feel welcome. Due to his very good English he was left to sort out any problems but it was no effort at all to him. This hotel wouldn’t be the same if he left that’s for sure. If you are looking for a clean, tidy basic hotel in a quieter area of Gumbet then I would definitely recommend.

Just returned from a 10 day trip. We arrived late and had a problem with the air con. We were moved the following day without fuss. The staff could not do enough for you and work so hard. I have to say that Tony was exceptional every day he went over and above . Tony really did make gumbet cove an absolute pleasure to stay at and because of him we certainly would return to this hotel. It’s perfectly situated away from the noise of bar street which at first can be a little intimidating but once you get to know them the Turkish people genuinely cannot do enough for you. Tony explained the pressure they are under due to the 50% hike in inflation. We were welcomed everywhere we went and most of the restaurants came to wish us a safe journey home as we passed on the last night. The hospitality is amazing and we were all touched by it. Thank you gumbet cove for our first experience of turkey particularly Tony because of you it won’t be our last!

Arrived on the 9th sept ‘23, A quiet English speaking hotel, Close to all amenities. Pay extra for A/C , kettle and safe, hotel was clean yet basic, perfect to use as a hub. Taxi rank is 2 minutes away. Stayed in 203, overlooking the pool on the ground floor. Already booked for the same time next year. Downside was a woman that was a tourist who thought she owned the hotel, falling out with everyone that was there. Besides that, I totally recommend
