Good day! Today I would like to talk about our stay at the “Best Life Hotel” in the city of Bodrum (Gumbet). I’ll say right away that our goal was just relaxation, so there won’t be any scary photos with the hotel’s shortcomings, since we tried not to focus on this during our vacation. So, we chose the hotel according to the picture on the Internet, because there were no fresh reviews. We arrived in Bodrum at 8 in the morning, were at the hotel around 9, and settled us at 12:00. For earlier check-in, even $50 at the reception did not help, although the admin very willingly accepted it :)) While we were waiting for check-in, there was a German family in the lobby who was arguing with the hotel owner that they wanted to move to another hotel in the near future . The hotel staff speaks only English, although the young guys waiting at the bar and restaurant do not understand English, so we had to explain ourselves somehow. But the guys at the reception speak English well, if suddenly they didn’t understand, they turned on Google translator and everything was resolved quickly. We explained to the admin that we were on a honeymoon, so we would like to receive some kind of gift from the hotel. As a result, the gift was a room with a sea view, although the couple who checked in with us were given a similar room with a sea view just like that. When we entered the room, we were very upset because it was a failure. The only thing that saved him was the air conditioning and the view, everything else was in dire need of repair. The faucets in the bathroom had a green coating (possibly mold), and the bed linen was stained with blood and dirt. There were not enough bolts on the upholstery of the bed, the picture on the wall hung crookedly due to improper fastening, the lamps were held together simply by word of honor, there were stains and holes on the curtains and drapes. The room was in terrible condition, we immediately went to the reception and asked to change the bed linen and the administrator fulfilled the request with lightning speed. But we could not replace the number, because "there were no free rooms." Very impressed with the cleaning of the rooms. The cleaning lady came every day, but each time at a different time. That is, one day she could already be knocking on the room at 9 am, and on another evening at 6 o’clock. It was very inconvenient to adjust her plans every day to the cleaning lady who came at random. And the most interesting thing is that she knocked on the door 2 times and pretended that she didn’t hear that we were answering her that there was no need for cleaning and brazenly entered the room :))) And during the 10 days of our stay they changed our towels 1 time, our initiative. We left towels on the floor as a sign that they needed to be replaced. The cleaning lady cleaned the room, took the towels, but did not leave new ones! The next day, when we met in the corridor, we asked for towels, to which we heard that towels would only be available tomorrow ;D A very interesting adventure, I tell you - two days without any towels. The hotel does not have its own beach, but every day at 14:30 a bus arrives and takes those who wish to the public beach. We went to the beach on foot, it took 8-10 minutes.
