Thanks to the Ayala Ocean View team for making my time here memorable.
What makes Ayala amazing is not just the location (which is great Maldives) or the super luxurious hotel, room, food... but definitely the staff. From them I learned how a really good experience is to find AUTHENTIC people. They smile, enquire about you, know your name and even your preferences. They are the ones who made this hotel and the island SHINE.
Always nice to every single guest, even when they don't smile back. From this I could see that they have a good heart, it comes from within, it's not fake, is how they are.
They are the actual ASSET to the hotel.

You can take a high-speed boat arranged by the hotel from the boat dock just outside the airport to Gulhi for a fee. You must make a reservation with the hotel in advance. The boat ride takes about 30 minutes one way. The island is not paved, but it is clean everywhere. It is a 1-2 minute walk from the hotel to the beach. The sand and sea are very clean. This sand, sea, and sky are very beautiful and worth it. If you ask the hotel, they will set up beach chairs and parasols for you. You can also borrow snorkeling equipment. It's very close to the Gulhi Pier. I contacted the hotel via WhatsApp for round-trip transportation. It's the off-season in the last week of July, so it's hard to make an excursion reservation at the hotel front desk because there aren't enough people. I recommend coming a day in advance and making a reservation with the Gulhi Island excursion company. I did the shark and stingray drone video on a private boat because there weren't enough people. But it was so good! The hotel is clean and the beds are comfortable.

Very good hotel, although the room is not big, the surrounding area is under construction (the island is under construction), but it does not affect our family's perfect six days on the island, because the beach and sea view of GULHI Island are so beautiful, dreamy Like Blue, the hotel also has a lot of day trips or half-day trips so you won't waste time in the room at all. It takes only two minutes to walk from the hotel to the beach. You will pass a very beautiful path and a football field. The room is cleaned every day. We all enter the room with bare feet for fear of bringing sand into the room and wasting the hard work of the waiters. Basically Every time you leave the room and go back to the room you will find that the room will be cleaned once. The food in the hotel is also very delicious. Highly recommend this guesthouse!!! Had a lovely stay for 2 nights (16-18 June) in room 201. Truly a 5 star hotel experience. Rooms are so great, cleanliness amazing. Sometimes I was wondering if housekeeping made our room after every time we went out. Staff so friendly and smiling. We are for sure coming back to stay, that’s a 100% guarantee. We also ended up having all our meals here even if only breakfast was included in our package. Keep it up!! 😊👌

I don't know how to start, but everything was PERFECT. Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, nice restaurant with a good variety of food and meals. just mins walk from the most beautiful beach you will see, JUST STAY IN THIS HOTEL WITHOUT HESTITATION.

We stayed at the Ayala hotel for only 2 days, because unfortunately our newborn fell ill with the flu, and we had to return home. But even if for a short time, we felt treated like royalty, the staff was very kind to us and helped us in everything, even accompanying us to the child's visits to the medical clinic on the island, and the room was also cleaned frequently, the food was excellent and much appreciated even by us Westerners, as it was varied and not spicy as often happens. The island is small and the people who live there are cheerful and courteous towards tourists, however there is no shortage of dive centers and shops, which are all close to the tourist beach, we are really sorry that we couldn't stay longer but we will definitely return ! Special thanks go to the Ayala staff for the help and understanding shown towards us, you are fantastic. See you soon, Valerio.

Adorable staff, very smiling, taking care of everyone. My room (304) was sublime, very comfortable bed and an exceptional view, the cleaning service is impeccable, the catering is very good, the reception is attentive and very friendly. despite a sometimes noisy environment, it is a hotel that I highly recommend!

Where do i even begin? This hotel is such a gem. I am absolutely blown away by the hospitality of the staff there, namely Francis, and the reception staff, Nicole and Alesta and the culinary staff at the restaurant and all the boatmen and housekeeping staff. We were treated like we were royalty. Everything from check-in to the whole duration of our stay until check-out went smoothly. It is a super clean, modern hotel, the staff were super attentive and flexible to our requests, they made sure that we were warmly welcomed. The price is also very affordable, and I love the fact that it was close to Male island, so it took only 30 mins to reach by speedboat from the Velana airport. I highly recommend staying at this hotel, if you want to have the most relaxing stay. Well worth the visit! Thank you again to Francis and his team, you guys were the highlight of our trip, customer service at its finest!

Superb hotel on Gulhi. The quality and standard of the property is evident in all areas, from the beds, linen, towels through to the furniture and bathrooms but above all the whole team and also the delicious food prepared by the chef and lovingly served by the team. Special thanks to Francis on reception, Bomey who led a group of us on a fantastic half day tour to swim with turtles and enjoy a great lunch on a sandbank - a memorable experience. Also Monday who works in the dive centre and Sammy our boat driver - what a great crew. Food and drinks were served with such grace and always with a smile by Nicole, Alesta and Ayesha - thank you girls 🙏🏼 I doubt there’s a better all round option on the island. If the hotel has availability just book it ~ you’ll be glad you did! 😎

Finest building in the island, premium service. These guys know how to host guests, thank you to all staff including Rowen and Alesta at the restaurant, which I also recommend. The island is better preserved and quieter than close busier Maafushi.

The hotel is very nice, clean, modern, just steps away to the bikini beach. The food was good with nice selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We loved our room, called the Supercute with walkout balconies to sea view and very spacious. We truly enjoyed the stay, the staff was so helpful, always have great smiles on their faces and took great care of us. The front manager Francis recommended tours from the hotel, we did fishing tour, snorkeling, swam with nurse sharks, had lunch at the beautiful sand banks, touched stingrays, saw dolphins, turtles and sealife these were such memorable moments. Water was crystal clear and warm. So many shades of blue. The staff at Ayala especially Alesta, Rowen, Nicole, Rameez, Ali, Francis made our stay so much better. They answered all our questions, so eager to help and do it with smiles on their faces. Definitely recommend Ayala hotel! Thank you!

Hotel is good location in this small island. Staff was really kind and helpful. Room was clean and modern. There is also beach towels, good shampoo, conditioner and soap. Hotel was near bikini beach. Only downfall was hotels buffet and breakfast, because you can't get warm food. We stayed here 3 nights, and every day same problem :(. But Hotel was really nice, I can come here again.

This place has amazing and very nice staff that made my and my boyfriend's vacation at the island very pleasant and relaxing. The rooms are very clean and provide everything that you need. Since we stayed during New Year's Eve, the staff of the hotel prepared a lovely evening for everyone with amazing dinner and some program which could have the guests joined. Since the island is small, the bikini is in a distance of 5 minutes walking. There is a restaurant on the ground floor of the building that you can visit even when you don't stay at the hotel. The meals there were professionally prepared and I recommend to eat there when you stay at Gulhi. A diving center that belongs to the hotel is located in a building in front of the hotel. We tried few dives with the guys and I can just recommend. It was always great fun for us. What I minded a bit at the hotel was that dinner is open in a form of buffet until 10 PM, I believe. But the food was not being added to that buffet after 8 PM or so. When we arrived more or less after this time, there were mostly leftovers left. So in the end, we still needed to go for dinner a bit earlier. Another disadvantage was that during New Year's Eve, there was construction of another hotel happening in front of this hotel. During a day, it was constantly noisy for everyone. But this should be fixed as soon as the new building is finished. The hotel doesn't have any elevator, so it's not suitable for people that have troubles with stairs.
